Toyota has conquered the eco-friendly vehicle market, visible on the ace development of Camry and Prius hybrids. The latest promising eco-car theory is hydrogen fuel cell technology and the whole world is aware of the creation of Mirai hydrogen fuel cell sedan. The company firmly believes in the power of the technology and has invested a vast sum of $165 million for the manufacture of Mirai.

Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell

The construction of Mirai is happening the established parent unit, and the vast sum of $156 million which 20 billion yen is triggered by the awareness and demand of the public and corporate sector. It is a full-fledged development and Toyota aims to increase the number of hydrogen and fuel cell tanks manufactured at the headquartered unit in Aichi Prefecture.

Toyota’s aim at the moment is to develop a vast scale of hydrogen fuel cell stacks to drive mass sale of Mirai, and to achieve the desired outcome. Majority of the orders are coming from public and corporate sectors, and the demand from customers is significantly lesser. The Japanese government has allotted over $20,000 worth of resources to promote hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

Mirai is a relatively new project and the demand for it is pretty enormous, Toyota had earlier planned to sell the car in limited numbers, despite the increased request, the company will continue to sell 400 units in Japan by the end phase of 2015, and the desired growth in Europe is between 50 and 100 cars before the end of 2016. The concept of hydrogen fuel cell systems may sound innovative and practical, but the major task lies in the development of hydrogen fuel station, and the company eyes California to be an attractive destination to build hydrogen fuel cell stations. Toyota is eyeing California to be a hub for gigantic Mirai sales, and by the end of 2017 it hopes to roll out 3,000 vehicles.

The whole world is familiar with the impact of eco-friendly vehicles, but its presence on the road is not yet on par with conventional fuels. The concept of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles sounds simple and practical and it can be referred to as zero emission vehicle, there is yet a significant factor that needs to be thought of, which is the construction of hydrogen fuel cell stations. Hybrid vehicles are on the move, and electric charge stations are established, but with hydrogen fuel cell vehicles it is a magnificent task at hand.

It will be interesting to view, how fuel cell vehicles develop in the near future, and the inspiration lies in the power of hydrogen gas stations. Also acquiring hydrogen gas and storing it in fuel cell stacks is a major task. Analyzing the development of Mirai it is evident that Toyota is banking on efficient hydrogen fuel station construction in California, and just few years from now, we can actually experience the drive rhythm of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

The debatable topics about hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is, whether it can actually emit zero pure water through tail pipes, and the sustainability of hydrogen fuel during lengthy drives.

The global auto leader Toyota Motor is busy developing an armada of new cars for the car markets of the world. However, it surely is paying special attention to one of its most important global launch, which is the Fuel Cell Vehicle or the FCV.

Toyota FCV

Toyota, as we know of is the green technology pioneer and is constantly trying to innovate something which will translate into a greener future mobile system. Toyota is also the pioneer of hybrid cars, the concept of which was jeered at by the other automobile manufacturers till they were stunned by the high success of the first Toyota Prius Hybrid model.

The same sort of high success is expected out of the upcoming Toyota FCV that is scheduled to be launched in 2015. The Hydrogen powered FCV is Toyota’s dream car which spells ultimate green technology while also bidding adieu to the inconveniences that are associated with an electric car. Though Hyundai Motor has already overtaken Toyota in terms of FCV launch with the release of the Hyundai Tucson FCV, the Toyota FCV is really highly anticipated as something unique is expected out of it.

Now, the upcoming Toyota FCV has reached an important production stage that will make the car’s launch smoother in the market. Toyota has successfully gained government approval to build and inspect the high-pressure hydrogen tanks that go inside the FCV to power the vehicle.

The next big green car launch that is highly talked about is certainly the Toyota fuel cell vehicle, but the car’s launch date is yet not finalized as the development procedure has got delayed a bit. However, now the Toyota FCV’s reality is one step closer, as Toyota has met the stringent criteria that is needed by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Toyota Motor after gaining this government approval can now enhance the production of hydrogen tanks that can be used to safely store the hydrogen fuel at up to 70MP pressure. This development will help the Japanese auto giant to stay on track for its market launch plans for its FCV for the Japanese, European and North American car market next year.

The Japanese law needs all pressurized gas containers to be type-certified and officially inspected for safety during the manufacturing process. Toyota’s FCV hydrogen tanks also had to go through this stringent inspection process prior to its installation into the FCV.

Now, after the government certification Toyota can now streamline the FCV manufacturing procedure while keeping to the highest quality and safety standards. The company can also concentrate on enhancing the FCV’s range, performance and also reduce the cost of the vehicles.

The upcoming Toyota FCV is a uniquely styled compact sedan that features a water droplet shape and has been getting displayed in a dazzling blue concept model around the world. The Toyota FCV sedan will use hydrogen gas to produce energy and will emit only water vapor. It will also offer a range of about 500kms and can be refueled in a few minutes.

Toyota is among the legendary car firms to engage in advanced automobile engineering technologies. The company showcased a string of hydrogen cell powered vehicles at 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. It is interesting to learn of Toyota’s aim to unveil fuel cell vehicles, and will launch fuel cell cars sometime in 2015.

Toyota Fuel Cell sedan

The company is doing all it can to invest majorly in hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and has set up the technology at its headquartered unit in Los Angeles. The unit has a 1.1 megawatt stationary fuel cell to generate power at cost-effective rates. The fuel cell equipment delivers power to about six buildings on sit during summer.

The technology used to generate electricity is called (PEM) Proton Exchange Membrane, and the same technique will be used to engineer the forthcoming production model. Mark Yamamuchi who is in charge of the units sustainable strategy program stated, ‘’most fuel cell units have to run continuously to generate power. This is a breakthrough project to obtain the best possible results from PEM technology.

The launch of a hydrogen fuel station at Toyota’s headquartered unit in Los Angeles is the company first project in hydrogen fuel cell segment. The method of systems working, the fuel cell power is a stationary mode of electricity generation, and supplies sufficient power for about 765 American homes.

Fuel cell technology is gaining significant importance; Hyundai too has explored this technology. The significance of this technique is it lowers consumer dependence on foreign oil and reduced emissions, thereby contributing to tap climate change. Fuel cell vehicles operate on hydrogen cars than gasoline vehicles, and the beneficial factor here is hydrogen emits no harmful emissions. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are at the moment a progression into the future, but challenges still surface, but the benefits are large.

Fuel cell vehicles look just like conventional vehicles, since it is a technologically advanced product, the variation lies on the inside. The different here is the fitment of fuel cell stack that converts stored hydrogen gas along with oxygen to form electricity, which drives the engine.

As mentioned earlier hydrogen fuel cell operates on Polymer Electrolyte Membrane technology, and aid in the conversion of preserved hydrogen and oxygen to generate electricity. The unit is called fuel cell stacks and produces less than 1.16 volts of electricity, which is more than sufficient to run a vehicle. The fuel tank has multiple cells and the amount of electricity generated is dependent on size of individual fuel cells that make up a fuel cell tank.

Toyota has earlier invested in eco-friendly hybrid technologies injected into its lavish Prius and Camry hybrids. The company has now built a full-fledged hydrogen fuel cell unit. Automobile companies all over the globe are working on environmentally friendly technologies. The initiation of Toyota to introduce a fuel cell tank into its main unit in Los Angeles is a measure of its aim to push this technology to the brim.

The company is keen to bring hydrogen technology to full swing in 2015, and few years from now there be many hydrogen fuel vehicles.

The world’s auto leader Toyota Motor is having a tough time handling a yet new series of recalls worldwide, but the car giant is certainly not sitting quietly. Apart from proactively solving the recall issues, the hybrid car pioneer is also focusing on a new range of conventional gasoline engines in order to keep its conventional cars at par with the new powerful rival models. While the Japanese car major has shifted its attention on the conventional cars, there is no reason to believe that it has lost its focus on the green cars that it is famous for.

Toyota Motor has yet again confirmed of its plans to launch its much speculated hydrogen fuel cell car in next year itself that was originally scheduled to happen. Toyota has revealed that it is going ahead with its launch of fuel cell car in 2015, however the car will be offered limited numbers.

Toyota Hydrogen powered fuel cell vehicle is a futuristic looking mid-sized sedan that can be compared to the current model of Avensis. Toyota has also revealed that the company will follow the design language of the Toyota FCV concept very closely for the production model. The fuel cell vehicle of FCV concept was last displayed at the 2014 Geneva motor show held in March.

The Toyota FCV concept has been doing its display rounds since 2013 at various international motor shows. The compact looking dazzling blue sedan has a shape of a water droplet and indicates its only emission that is pure water vapor. It incorporates the fuel cell technology, which is the ultimate green technology till date and uses the power of compressed hydrogen gas and emits only pure water vapor.

Toyota has already revealed a lot of details about its FCV car. It has revealed that it will be utilizing a high-density fuel stack and will have the range of 500 miles on full tank. The Japanese car major has also revealed that the tank can be fully replenished in only a few minutes.

Talking about its limited amount of release, Toyota’s European president, Mr. Didier Leroy said that the fuel cell technology will take some time to get adopted in the market. To help the adoption process, Toyota will bring in reasonable units of the FCV to the European market. Though the volume of the FCV will be limited, they will be definitely visible on the roads in Europe he added.

Toyota is developing its Fuel Cell sedan in a joint venture with the premium car giant BMW in order to accelerate the research and development process. Toyota Europe’s high official, Karl Schlicht said that the fuel cell technology surely has a long way to go, in terms of adaptability and practicality that goes with any new technology, the same thing was there for the very popular hybrid technology just 10 years back.

He added that Toyota fully trusts the fuel cell technology as the company’s ultimate goal of fully green and sustainable commutation system.

Toyota a renowned auto firm has pierced through advanced technologies with the launch of Prius and Camry hybrid vehicles. The company announced of its aim to roll out hydrogen fuels in 2015. Toyota has amazing new products for Indian and overseas markets. The new Aygo stole the show at prestigious Geneva Motor Show.

Toyota is keen to work on the procedure of building fuel cell vehicles at a slow pace, and aims to become a leader in this segment. The company is hopeful to yield similar profits as observed with its Prius hybrid, a blockbuster launch in international segments. The main concern with fuel cell models at the moment is insufficient infrastructure. Toyota’s first model to have fuel cell technology is the (FCV) Fuel Cell Vehicle. The new FCV car scheduled to arrive in 2015 will be identical to current model. The car has close resemblances to a sedan.

The car will arrive with a package and cost over 10 million Yen and on conversion to pound currency it is £ 58,000. Auto companies all over the globe are facing the consequences of adverse impact of recession. Toyota is firm on its strategic approaches to roll out models that will churn significant profits ten years down the line. By 2020, Toyota is hopeful to make admirable sales of 10,000 on a yearly basis. The company will partner with a pioneer in lavish car segment BMW, to build second generation line ups of fuel cell models, but the brainwave behind the car is Toyota.

On the introduction of fuel cell vehicles, the project director of European based Toyota, Gerald Killmann commented, ‘’fuel cell cars will be sold in showrooms by 2015 in Europe, US and Japan. He did not disclose information on a particular European nation that will have the fuel cell vehicle and said that infrastructure plays a key role in the decision.

Toyota has always been a forerunner in advanced automobile engineering technology. Camry and Prius hybrids are posh cars draped with grand style cues and innovative technologies. The company has used a holistic approach to build the two models, and the focus is not limited to state-of-the art technologies. It is interesting to learn that Toyota will bring in fuel cell vehicles in the near future, how does it work? From outside they look like any other vehicle, the innovativeness lies in the insides. The fuel cell tank filled with (PEM) Polymer Electrolyte Membrane converts hydrogen gas with oxygen from atmosphere to form electricity, which thereby drives the electric model.

A majority of fuel cells generate electricity below 1.16 volts, which is pretty insufficient to generate power. Fuel cell tanks hence have multiple cells which are segmented into a single fuel cell unit. The voltage of electricity yielded is based on size and number of fuel cells and also PEM surface area.

The advantage of fuel cell vehicles are the low dependency factor on other forms of fuel, and the emission volumes are significantly lower. Fuel cell cars move on hydrogen gas, and not gasoline, and the harmful emission levels from tailpipe is nil.

Let’s look forward to Toyota’s series of fuel cell vehicles and may be expect products as exotic as Prius and Camry.

The world’s largest car maker, Toyota Motor is again set to do something that has been jeered at and disbelieved by the others. The pioneer of the hybrid cars, Toyota is all set to launch its Fuel Cell Vehicle in the mass market next year, despite major skepticism regarding the technology’s feasibility. Moreover, the lack of the hydrogen refueling infrastructure has been another major drawback in the path of the hydrogen powered vehicles. However, Toyota is going to negate all these negative thoughts and come up with its FCV (Fuel Cell Vehicle) in the year 2015.

Toyota Motor had ventured to produce the first hybrid car ever, a technology that was also majorly heckled at. However, Prius, Toyota’s pioneer hybrid vehicle has gone ahead crossing many sales milestones and becoming the most successful and popular hybrid vehicle in the world. The Hydrogen powered Fuel Cell technology is also avoided by most of the car makers of the world. However, some of the global auto behemoths, including Toyota, Honda and Hyundai have taken the decision to tread the path of this still doubted technology. While Hyundai has already launched its lease only hydrogen powered Tucson in the US market, Toyota and Honda are getting ready with their respective fuel cell cars to be released in 2015.

Toyota will be launching its much talked about compact sedan based on the FCV concept in the mass market next year. The Japanese car maker has been showcasing its dazzling blue hydrogen sedan that looks really futuristic in its water droplet shape and design. The stylish car has great flowing design and attractive body lines accentuating its looks. The Toyota FCV sedan has been showcased at many auto shows including the Tokyo Motor Show and the Detroit Auto Show. The concept has been garnering much appreciation for its innovative technology as well as design concept.

Toyota had a close to production prototype model of the FCV sedan at the recently concluded North American International Auto Show held in Detroit, while it was also displayed at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that was held in Las Vegas towards the beginning of this month.

The sedan already looks snazzy enough to grab attention, and people are hoping that Toyota will make look even more attractive when it actually hits the market, along with a great alluring name as well.

Toyota has already revealed that the first batch of the fuel cell vehicles will be comparatively smaller in number consisting of about 10,000 vehicles, and will be costing between $50,000 and $100,000, with the company emphasizing on the lower price slab. These cars will be mostly sold in California initially, where the hydrogen fuel pumps are more available and growing in number.

Toyota has stressed on the fact that the next batch of the FCVs will cost considerably lesser. The company said that its FCV is good to cover around 500 km on full tank and takes merely few minutes to refuel its hydrogen tanks to the fullest.

The world’s most favored automaker and green car pioneer, Toyota Motor is only one year away from its yet another dream project Fuel Cell Vehicle’s market release. Toyota’s ultimate green car, the hydrogen powered FCV (fuel cell vehicle) is going to be a reality in the year 2015.

The Japanese car major has been flaunting its dazzling blue futuristic looking FCV concept vehicle at the various auto shows. This water drop shaped 4-seat sparkling sedan was showcased at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show first and recently at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

The Fuel Cell concept car from Toyota is still codenamed as the FCV, and its prototype model has been subjected to extensive road tests by the company in the roads of North America.

The Toyota FCV sedan has two hydrogen tanks to power it. The basically electric vehicle uses the power of Hydrogen which is combined with oxygen from the atmosphere to generate electricity to drive the vehicle. The sedan’s fuel cell system can generate 100 KW of horsepower propelling the car to get burst into a speed 0-100 km per hr in just around 10 seconds. On full tank, this hydrogen powered sedan can traverse around 483 km, while emitting only water vapor back into the atmosphere. Thus, it is the most efficient fully green car ever.

Moreover, the hydrogen tanks of this vehicle can produce energy enough to power a household for about a week. Toyota is also working on this, to make the car a part time household UPS as well, when there is scarcity of electricity. The car’s power train consists of two hydrogen tanks that are connected to the fuel cell, a boost converter as well as an electric motor along with a PCU.

Toyota has always believed in the potential of the fuel cell and has been investing on the research of this technology for about two decades. The major hindrances in using this technology practically were its very expensive development costs and missing refueling infrastructure. Toyota says that it has drastically reduced the fuel cell car’s development costs up to a massive 95 percent.

Toyota’s FCV is all set to launch initially in California in 2015, owing to the state’s increased enthusiasm to set up hydrogen refueling pumps by up to a hundred pumps by the year 2024.

Apart from negating an electric vehicle’s disadvantage of range restriction, the fuel cell cars can also be refueled in minutes. Toyota claims that its FCV takes merely around 3 minutes to get full. However, the lack of hydrogen refueling stations in the globe is a problem now.

Toyota is working in collaboration with the University of California to help decide the potential locations for the set up of new hydrogen fueling stations. Toyota says that the correct positioning of the pumps will require fewer pumps catering to the needs of a huge number of fuel cell vehicles.

Toyota is thus all ready to make another green car dream possible, very soon.

The world’s auto leader, Toyota Motor is really hopeful about the widespread success of its Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle. The Japanese car major has already flaunted its FCV (Fuel Cell Vehicle) car concept at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show and now is proudly showing it off at the 2014 International CES, the annual technological show.

Toyota says that the company is now expecting to sell more numbers of its Fuel Cell electric cars in the car market of U.S. than what it had previously thought of.

Toyota’s dazzling blue Fuel Cell vehicle that the company still calls the FCV, as it has not got a proper nameplate as yet has impressed the audience with its sheer unconventional, futuristic looks and its efficient technological convenience. This ultimate green car from the house of Toyota uses compressed natural hydrogen gas as its fuel and emits pure water vapor into the atmosphere. This makes it not only a complete green car but also a very powerful and convenient car as compared to the battery driven EVs. Toyota has already revealed that its FCV can run for around 500 kilometers on a full tank and takes around 3 minutes to fully replenish its tank, making it very convenient for the car owners as it does not have a range problem or the hassle of recharging its battery.

Toyota said that the FCV will go on sale in the U.S. market in the year 2015. Toyota’s rival companies such as Honda and Hyundai have also announced that they will commence the sale of their respective fuel cell cars in the U.S. in the same year.

At the 2014 International CES, the Japanese car maker announced that it will focus on selling its FCV cars in the state of California initially.

The senior vice president of the automotive operations at Toyota U.S.A. Bob Carter said that the U.S. wing of Toyota Motor has recently increased the company request for the vehicles to be sold in the U.S. car market. He revealed that a 95 percent reduction in the production costs from the first FCV prototype will help Toyota to make the fuel cell cars a mass market product with a reasonable price tag.

So far, Toyota Motor has given the estimated price of its fuel cell cars to be between the price bracket of $50,000 to $100,000, and is aiming to offer the car more on the lower side of the price range.

Toyota has revealed that its first 10,000 units of FCVs can be supported with just 68 refueling pumps within the distance of San Francisco to San Diego. The company also said that California has approved $200 million to set up around 20 refueling pumps by 2015 that will extend to 100 stations by the year 2024.

Carter said that this refueling infrastructure is surely going to take place. He also said that the refueling stations just need to be placed correctly and a vast number is not really needed.

The one upcoming car from the house of Toyota that is always in the limelight is the Fuel Cell Vehicle concept car. This ultimate green car in the making is also going to be the center of attraction at the 2014 CES that will exhibit the Japanese auto giant’s research to work into its way to a clean mobility system.

While at the upcoming 2014 CES, the other global car makers will focus on displaying the hyped autonomous car technologies, Toyota being the automotive leader in the world and the green car pioneer will be taking a different path. The Japanese auto major will be utilizing the platform of the CES to flaunt its very important Fuel Cell Vehicle concept car in order to draw more attention on it.

The Fuel cell vehicles are said to be the future of the mobility system and going to bring about an absolute green revolution in the global auto industry. The Hydrogen Fuel Cell cars are the most efficient green car ever, as they offer the power and performance of a conventional fuel powered car and a far better mileage as well. These futuristic green vehicles do not have the restriction of range or the hassle of recharging of the battery powered Electric vehicles. The Fuel Cell cars can be refueled in minutes and offer close to 500 km on a full tank. The Fuel cell technology combines the power of pure hydrogen with oxygen to create electricity and the bi-product water becomes the only emission of the vehicles.

Several global car makers have been working on the fuel cell technology a decade back, but the incredible development costs, lack of hydrogen refueling infrastructure posed as big hindrances, and the battery EVs stole the show.

However, things are different now, as the car makers including Toyota says that the fuel cell vehicles, which are also electric cars that replaces the batteries with hydrogen tanks, will become cheaper than the battery EVs over time. Toyota’s FCV concept car will showcase at the 2014 CES how it can cover about more than 500km and take merely 3 minutes to refill its tanks.

Toyota will be revealing a lot more information about its FCV concept car at the show. The company will also stress on the fact that is going to put this ultimate green challenger on the roads by 2015. Toyota is very confident about the fact that similar to its Prius Hybrid, which was mocked at one and now celebrated all over the world its FCV car will also create a niche for itself in the global car industry.

Toyota’s Fuel Cell Vehicle concept car looks very unique and futuristic. The brilliant Blue colored Hydrogen powered sedan conveys the shape of a water drop and has flowing lines all over, and attracted the visitor’s gaze at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.

If Toyota’s prediction comes true, then this FCV is the world’s favorite next Prius in the making.
