All New Toyota Innova

The Innova and the Mobilio do not belong to the same segment however. While the Toyota Innova is a full sized premium MPV, the soon to be launched Honda Mobilio is a smaller sub-compact MPV, and the Mobilio’s primary market rival would be the Maruti Ertiga compact MPV. Nevertheless, the Honda Mobilio with its great looks, superb space, premium interiors, smart seating arrangements and expected competitive pricing, might as well dislodge the Toyota Innova from its ruling position.  

At a time when Honda has officially confirmed the much-awaited Mobilio 7-seater MPV’s India launch on July 23rd, 2014.  Let us take a look at what the Toyota Innova and the Honda Mobilio have on offer.

The Toyota Innova is a larger MPV with a length of 4585mm, width measuring 1765mm and height of 1760mm, along with a wheelbase of 2750mm and the impressive ground clearance of 176 mm.

On the other hand, the Honda Mobilio is 4,390mm long, 1,680mm wide and 1,610mm tall. The sub-compact MPV has a wheelbase of 2,650mm and a great ground clearance of 189mm.

Thus, the Honda Mobilio though smaller in dimensions will have ample space and comfort. Moreover, its more compact body will make it a perfect MPV for the highly traffic stricken roads. The Honda Mobilio also has a better ground clearance than the Toyota Innova, thus ensuring that it will have better off roading capabilities with a go anywhere attitude.

The Toyota Innova MPV is offered for sale in the Indian car market powered by a 2 liter 1TR-FE 1998cc, 4-cylinder petrol motor, while the Innova diesel packs in a 2.5 liter 2KD-FTV 2494cc, 4-cylinder diesel mill. Both the engines are mated to a standard 5 speed manual transmission gearbox. While the petrol Innova offers the fuel efficiency of 11.4 km per liter, the diesel Innova offers the mileage of 13 km per liter.

On the other hand, the upcoming Honda Mobilio will be offered in India powered by the two very efficient engines that also drive the massively popular new Honda City sedan. The Mobilio petrol will pack in the 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol engine, while the Mobilio diesel will be powered by the star performing 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel motor. Honda Mobilio petrol would offer an expected mileage 18 km per liter, the diesel version will offer a massive 24.2 km per liter.

The Honda Mobilio is thus a clear mileage winner.

In terms of pricing, the Toyota Innova is expensive with a price range of 9.97 lakhs to 14.92 lakhs, while the Honda Mobilio is expected to have a price range of 6.5 lakhs to 9 lakhs.

2015 Toyota camry

Exteriors:

Camry and Accord are in the dream lavish car list, and the 2014 Camry looks great, with a superior style statement than its predecessor. The exterior feature that accentuates its overall grand image is the classic grille design on XSE and SE variants.

Accord is appreciated for its sophisticated décor, the 2014 model is a continuation of Honda’s legacy in terms of style and sophistication, and the style trend used is coupe body style.

2014 Honda Accord

Engine:

The 2015 Camry has the same engine used in earlier model; it is fitted with robust four cylinder 2.5 litre engine that pumps out 170 pound feet torque and 178 hp. The other optional engine used is V6 3.5 liter power train coupled with six speed automatic transmission gearbox. The hybrid car has Atkinson cycle four cylinder 2.5 liter electric engine and robust nickel metal hydride battery. The electric engine generates enormous powers of 200hp.

Accord is fitted with four cylinder 2.4 litre engine that emits 181 lb ft torque and 185hp. The engine is matted to (CVT) continuously variable transmission or six speed manual gearbox. The hybrid car runs on plug in power, and does not have an electric engine.

Performance:

Accord offers among the best performances in posh car segment, automotive journalists have placed the car in high performer list. Camry does not offer enough punch to glide on the roads. It is a good performer, but sufficient enough to offer the thrill of a great drive. The CEO of Toyota Akio Toyda is keen to bring in more ride rhythm in 2015 Camry. The company has introduced an additional XSE sporty trim.

Price:

Toyota has not yet announced the price of 2015 Camry, the initial price of the 2014 model costs $23,235, the high end XLE V6 car is priced at $31,515. The starting price of 2014 Accord is $22,745 for LX variant and the most loaded car costs $34,270.

2015 Camry and 2014 Accord are classic models to look forward to, Camry has phenomenal styling and magnificent interiors, and Accord is garnished with sophistication and elegant but mundane interiors and offers better drive vigour than Camry.

The interior of Innova has been designed elegantly and it has the capacity to impress its passengers. Innova comes with both the seven and eight seats as per requirement of its customers. Xylo’s interiors as mentioned earlier have been made to woo the customers. The car now comes with stylish and tech packed comfort features. The car comes with the premium Italian leather as well as fabric upholstery. It provides not only the style but also the comfort at the same time. It ensures that the passengers will be pampered even when the will be moving over rough roads. The car is roomy having ample headroom and legroom in it. Xylo comes with the voice command technology which enables the passengers to take control over thirty features of the car by just talking to it. In between both the MPVs, Innova is a very popular one than Xylo. Innova’s interior is quite better as per the comparison.

The exterior of Liva is not only attractive, but also is balanced with its long wheelbase of 2460mm. The front chrome grille comes with sharp curves that resembles smiling face and holds the traditional logo of Toyota. The lower grille is connected with the headlamps which look like dimples on the car. The car has creases on its body which is an outstanding property of the car. Etios has been decorated with small lights and the car has a tame bumper. The OVRMs and the door handles have been painted in body colours. The car has a roof antenna.

Skoda Fabia looks like an aggressive car. The look of the car is different from the other cars. There are sleek contours on the bonnet of the car. Toyota Etios Liva is powered with a four cylinder, 1364cc, 8Valve SOHC, D-4D diesel engine which is supported by four valves per cylinder. This car produces a maximum power of 68PS @ 3800 rpm and a maximum torque of 170 Nm @ 1800-2400rpm. The new Skoda Fabia is geared with 1.2 L, TDI CR, DOHC, 3 cylinders, turbocharged diesel engine which produces a max power of 75 bhp at 4200 rpm and a max torque of 180 Nm at 2000 rpm.

Toyota Etios Liva is really a car which can be used for long drives easily than Skoda Fabia. Etios Liva is a better option than Fabia in every aspect.

Toyota Etios Liva:- along with attractiveness, the exteriors of Toyota Etios Liva ensures balancing with long wheelbase of 2460mm.
