Toyota Kirloskar motors have launched their highly executive saloon car, Camry. While Fluence is a D-segment luxury car from Renault’s end. Let us go through a small comparison of these two sedans.
Camry is basically a sophisticated sedan from Toyota’s stable. Camry has the perfect look with which it can lure any car lover to think of buying it. Coming to the front, the car has a bold chrome finished grille. The multiple chrome finished slats have been placed horizontally. The nose of the car gets the chrome finished logo of Toyota. The headlamps of the car come with multi reflector projector and are shaped in an elegant and unique rectangle. These headlamps have been equipped with the auto leveling technique. The small fog lamps come with the stylish chrome rims around them. The OVRMs of the car are integrated with LED indicators. The bumper of this car has edgy and sporty curves. The car further has a moon roof.
Renault Fluence is a midsized sedan which has a distinctive and simple look. This car has a long yet compact nose and the roof is arch shaped. The front of the car has leaf shaped swept back automatic headlamps placed in the headlamp cluster and has grille boxes which are aggressive. The headlamps have been positioned in the cluster in a quite impressive way. The lower grille is wide and rectangular with spherical fog lamps attached to it. The emblem of Renault has been placed at the tip of the nose of the car. the OVRMs are powered and it comes in body colour and the door handles also.
Toyota Camry has an interior which is very lavish. The front of the cabin flaunts the brilliant Optitron meter display which gives all the details related to driving. It includes fuel economy, average driving speed, cruising range and flawless clarity. The car has power steering which has audio controls on it. The driver’s seat comes with lumber support and has the facility to adjust it in eight ways. The car has a lot of storage space. The car has much room and the seats are very comfortable and relaxing. The car has a huge luggage space.
The Fluence has premium fabric upholstery and has handsome Electrical Variable type (EPS) – speed proportional four spoke power steering with tilt and telescopic features. The centre console has an impressive instrument panel which has a dazzling backlight. The dashboard has ample storage space and in the cabin also. The seats have all the comfortable features with enough room inside the car. Head restraints are there for front passengers and for the middle passengers. The seats come in leather.
Toyota Camry has been powered with 2.4L powerful DOHC VVT-i petrol engine which generates a maximum power of 164.7bhp at the rate of 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 224Nm at the rate of 4000 rpm. Renault Fluence is powered with 2.0L petrol engine which can produce a maximum power of 137 PS @ 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 190 Nm @ 3700 rpm.
Both the sedans are class apart and excel in their own fields. But Renault Fluence is a midsized sedan and Camry is not. But then it is up to the customers that which sedan they would opt for.
