The arrival of Prado in 2004 in India definitely caught the eye of many people, because of its magnificent exterior. The car has not lost its charm since then; the large dimensional body fits the taste of many Indians. The company has recently launched the fourth generation in India, with a whole new makeover.
The upgraded Toyota Land Cruiser Prado displays a matured and modern look than the original. To complement the large dimensional stunning exterior, the New Prado comes with gigantic wheel arches and ten-spoke 18 inch alloy wheels. To suit the gigantic demeanor the car stands tall with roof rails and side floor boards. The frontal part is fitted with a similar chromed front grille along with new angular headlights and a large bonnet. The revamped front bumper is fitted with rectangular air dam with round shaped fog lights identical to the Fortuner. The rear of the car displays a trendy outlook with new clear lens taillights much smaller than before. The in-built spoiler has a compact split boot gate with a stylish big chrome bar above the number plate.
The interior is designed with black interiors and black coloured seats, to probably sport a charismatic look and feel. The interior is very roomy and offers the best possible comfort. The car is designed with the priority to accommodate many people, and the Prado has the fair capacity to accommodate six people. Apart from the roomy interior, the company has been very generous with the headroom keeping tall occupants in mind. The car has more than sufficient space for legroom and shoulder room.
From the impressive neat crafted exterior design which provides a tall stance, one would be curious about the cars comfort levels. The car offers abundant comfort and convenience. The extremely comfortable seats provide a cruise like luxury experience. The other high-end comfort features are adjustable steering and driver’s seat along with three zone climate control and AC vents. There are power windows and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors with in-built turn indicators. The other astonishing comfort features are cruise control, electrically foldable rear seats, parking sensors with reverse camera, keyless entry, and a refrigerator which clearly explains the gigantic interior.
The dashboard too is a stunning black coated with silver accent. The New Prado has a central console; AC vents and air cooled glove box. The company has been generous on storage comfort by fitting the car with cup holders for front and rear passengers, door pockets on all doors with back pockets on the front seat. There is abundant room for luggage where one can increase luggage space by folding the rear row of seats.
The Prado is fitted with a very powerful 3.0L D-4D engine, similar to the Fortuner but with different specifications. The powerful engine churns 170bhp and 3400 rpm and a torque of 410Nm at 1600rpm. The most significant feature of the car is the performance; one can actually reach a 100km/hour destination in just ten seconds with a top speed of over 180Km/hour. The Prado has all the features of a powerful car with a classy exterior, to the dream car interior and marvelous performance. This is a typical up market car definitely worth buying.
