Toyota cars are acclaimed for their sheer brilliance in both style as well as performance. The all new 2014 Toyota Tundra comes to enthrall the audience with a fully revamped design.
The Toyota Tundra has already earned its well deserved name in the full-size pickup segment. The vehicle combines tough performance and a reliable platform that sometimes makes it a better choice than most of its American rivals. However, as the competition intensified, the rivals managed to overtake the competent Toyota Tundra with classier interiors, innovative technology and more aggressive design language. Now, Toyota is ready to give it back to the rivals, as the all new 2014 Tundra comes armed with all the required updates.
The new 2014 Tundra boasts a redesigned exterior with a new hood and grille along with a broader front fascia that makes it more aggressive looking. The three piece lower bumpers, high hood design, and squared wheel-wells makes the new Tundra exude mean masculine power.
Under the hood, the new Tundra’s powertrains are the same as before. Its 4.0 liter V6 engine delivers 270 of power and 278 of peak torque. The engine is coupled with five speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the 4.8 liter V8 motor delivers 310 hp and 327 of torque, and the 5.7 liter V8 engine churns out 381 hp and 401 of torque. Both the motors are mated with six speed automatic transmission.
The all new Toyota Tundra will offer the standard configurations as before. The Tundra will have the trims – SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum and a new 1794 model, and each one comes with an individual grille styling.
The new Tundra will offer Bluetooth connectivity, Display Audio system and rearview camera. The higher trims will get a chrome grille, optional 18-inch/20-inch wheels, fog lights, satellite radio, heated leather seats, navigation system with integrated Entune smartphone.
Toyota understands that some of the American consumers simply want an enormous vehicle to flaunt about, and thus Toyota addresses this demand in the form of the Tundra’s Platinum trim, which according to Toyota caters to the requirements of the modern, urban car consumers. The Platinum features perforated leather seats, 12 speaker audio system and chrome metallic trim.
The new Tundra’s new 1794 trim represents the traditional Western county lifestyle, and comes along with saddle-brown leather upholstery complimented with suede accents, and LED running lights.
The 2014 Tundra offers a refreshed interior with a newly designed dashboard which brings forward the audio and climate controls by over 2 inches to the front passengers of the car. The front seats also provide more space, while the rear seats allow themselves to be folded up to make room for extra cargo. The all new Tundra includes the safety features of rear cross-traffic alert and blind spot monitoring and on top trims.
The all new 2014 Toyota Tundra is thus all set to take on the consumers by storm and is expected to hit the markets by this September, while its pricing is yet to be announced.
