Toyota Etios versus Nissan Sunny

The Etios is a professionally designed model of Toyota that sports an ideal family car image. The terms Etios is class and verve which is the main selling proposition of the company with the car. An interesting fact about the engine of Toyota Etios is the car is constructed on a totally different platform. The car is inserted with a 1.5 liter petrol mill with the advanced DOHC technology that releases impressive energies of 90ps peak power and highest torque value of 132Nm. Etios offers a decent mileage at 17.6kpl.

Etios is introduced in a range of variants such as Vx, V, G and J, the VX version is inserted with high tech 2 DIN music systems with Mp3 and DVD players. There are audio systems on steering along with AUX and USB compatibilities for the VX variant. The comfort levels in Etios are amazing with 13 liter glove storing equipment, sufficient head and leg room. The boot volume is excellent for those who travel frequently at 595 liters.  There is an instrument devise and power steering in VX, V and G model.

Etios is built with optimum safety features with EBD, ABS and airbags on the G variant. The Mac Pherson type of suspension and the increases safety levels are contributed by drums at rear and discs in front. The car is priced at Rs 5.5-8.2 lakhs

The Sunny designed by Nissan is designed with artistic elements, with creases to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the car. There are prominent head lights on front portion. These lights are creatively designed which separates the car’s design from the rest. Sunny is sculpted with an elegant and professional appeal with an ideal macho charm stance; there are chrome decorations on front. The fog lights have a neat circular carving which also increases the impressive exterior image.

The interiors offer a lavish atmosphere with premium and unique grey upholstery, there is an instrument devise adopted from Micra hatch, the air conditioning equipments are not up to the mark. The interior material are of supreme quality with console compartment, seat belts, head rests, arm rests at rear, power windows, cup storing devices, keyless entry, outer rear view mirrors with electrical adjustment and manually operated buttons to start and stop the car.

Sunny was initially introduced in petrol version and the company has now introduced a diesel version. Sunny petrol is incorporated with a powerful 1.5 liter mill with four cylinders that churns admirable efficiencies of 100PS highest power and 134Nm maximum torque value.

Sunny is appreciated for its word class safety features such as EBD, ABS, SRS airbags, seat belts, fog lights in front, disk brakes, impact absorption technology, impact beam on side and front, central and child lock systems, rear view mirror for enhanced visibility.  The car is priced at Rs 6.1 to 9.8 lakhs.

In terms of exterior design Etios and Sunny are equally stylish and classy, the interiors of Sunny is roomy and comfortable. The engine efficiency of Sunny is higher than Etios. The Etios overpowers the Sunny where price is concerned.
