The techniques used in car engineering technology has progressed to new levels, cars are now being built with superior mileages than earlier. The exterior sculpt and engines are manufactured with shock absorbers which safeguards occupants during the event of harsh collisions. The safety elements have improved and some run through smart technology applications. The engine efficiencies have also improved and cars are now being employed in highly competitive adventurous events. In India the diversity in car models have increased compared to at least five years ago, there are hatches, sedans, luxury cars, SUV’s and so on. The competition between various industries has become stiff. The technology used to build cars has progressed to another level, and most of them are operated automatically.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has manufactured some premium models in India such as Etios, Etios Liva, Corolla, Fortuner, Innova and so on. Let us browse through the features of one of Toyota’s eminent model Etios to analyze the extent of technology progression in cars.

The company was determined to build the Etios with best-in-class advanced engineering technology. The car is built with optimum luxury elements together with advanced technology elements. The launch of the car has resulted in cut-throat competition with Hyundai Accent, Tata Manza and Maruti Swift Dzire.

The car is built with a potent 1.5 liter petrol mill with an excellent displacement capacity of 1364cc and churns shockingly impressive efficiencies with highest power of 90 PS and 132Nm peak torque. The diesel variant releases stunning engine efficiencies as well at 68PS maximum power and highest 170Nm torque value.

As mentioned earlier the technology used with respect to safety is supreme, the Etios is manufactured with the dynamic MacPherson form of suspension at the rear. The overall construct of the car is pretty rigid and weighs 930 kg.

Automotive car repair is one of the essential areas to train students since even with careful fitments of car components on interiors and exteriors,  there is room for error which might occur through some mishandling by middle industries. There have been incidences of brake failures and broken windows these are critical issues which need to be looked into. If students master the techniques of car repairs and the reliability and profit factor of cars will increase to new heights.
