Recalls and their reasons from Toyota:

The first recall was because of an investor failure at the hybrid system for Lexus RX400 and its high lander models that have been launched oversees and in Japan. More than 141,000 wagons have been recalled in the United States and about 15,000 in Japan to fix this problem with the failure in the inverter. This defect could cause proposed problems such as letting the alarm to go off and the hybrid could stop functioning, as revealed by the Toyota motor corporation.

The second recall focuses on its Lexus GS350, Mark X, IS350 and Crown models and let to the recall of more than 106,000 cars in North America alone and about 59,000 units in its own land. Toyota proposed the possible problems with these vehicles could let the bolts to loose and gets the engine to stall. There were also possibilities for their time control devices to get loose and stop in the middle of driving.

Of all the 369,000 vehicles that have been recalled all over the world, 2, 35,000 involved the United States, 37,500 in Europe and about 74,000 in Japan. The largest of all the recalls involved the highlander hybrid models that were manufactured by TMC between the years 2006-2010 and the RX 400h models that were launched between the years 2006-2008.

Toyota’s commitment to quality

Some main contributing reason that went predominant in its idea to recall the vehicles are that, some Small utility vehicles were doubted for their transistors at their hybrid system to get overheated that could in turn trigger a warning and in some instances, the problem could get the vehicle to stop unexpectedly in the middle of an operation.

All these recalls were made based on perfect communication with the owners of the wagons and owners of the affected vehicles who would reside out of the United States were notified through their emails. Toyota considers this recall to be another milestone in its carefully shaped and cultivated deputation for its quality.

TMC would also be recalling vehicles that would be having a possible failure in their braking system and would recall another 7.43 million cars that could have possible power window trouble and could cause risks of fire. It would also be recalling wagons with defects in their airbags and sticky pedals at the accelerator. Its dealers were also intimated to stop the sales of eight of its models and also to stop production of these models for the time being at its manufacturing units.
