Toyota Avanza is graded under MPV and has been designed by Daihatsu, manufactured in Indonesia. With the recent launch of the latest Avanza in the South East Asian automobile market, the company may soon announce the car’s arrival in the Indian sub-continent too. According to the sources, the car is expected to hit the Indian roads by next year in 2014. For those who want to know, what to expect from the Toyota Avanza India, here is a quick review of the car.
The wagon is posed as an MPV but would be positioned below Innova. The vehicle has enhanced power with fuel efficiency and is powered by a 1.5 litre four cylinder DOHC engine with a VVTi system for fuel economy and decreased carbon emission. This engine could churn out a power of 109 PS and attain its peak performance at 141 Nm and a torque of 6000 rpm. The expected mileage on city roads is 15.8 kmpl and while on highways it could reach 11.2 kmpl.
The wagon is currently sold at six color variants with little information available on the shades. IT has a powerful 1.5 litre petrol engine and its capacity could be 1495 cc with 4 cylinders. The power and torque that would be emitted by this engine would be utilized by its five speed automatic transmission system and the VVTi technology works best for better acceleration, torque and fuel economy.
This IMV has sporty exteriors and has sharp flow lines and curves. The front of the vehicle poses chrome finished upper grille and its headlight looks trendy in its nose. Turn indicator is available in its multi-functional headlamp and its front bumpers are created with an exclusive design integrated with fog lights. Its side skirts are placed lower to offer it a sporty look and there are turn indicators fitted to these side skirts. There is a distinct style incorporated at the rear and front wipers and its sporty looks are enhanced by its 15 inch six spoke alloy wheels.
The rear end comes with stunning design and shape as well and its taillight clusters are vertically stacked with turn indicators and reverse light. This multi-purpose vehicle branded internationally is expected to weight around 1100 kg and its wheels would have a minimum turning radius of 4.7 meters.
This IMV has stunning and sporty interiors as well on par with its exteriors and its front cabin is spacious with seats that are adjustable. Its dashboard has AC vents, instrument panel, audio system and storage box. The steering wheel is four spoke with audio controls mounted on them. All seat rows have arm rest and bottle holders. All passenger seats are enabled with seat belts and its rear window mirror is electronically adjusted. Viper control and seat adjustments need to be attempted manually. The wagon is a five door sever seater with ample room for all passengers.
The wagon is equipped with MP3 WMA audio system that is supported by 4 speakers and has other accessories such as air conditioning system, rear view adjustable mirrors, power windows, manual seat adjustments, rear door lock etc.
