Toyota Boshoku Corporation, which is a leading manufacturer of car interior components, has announced that the company is extremely pleased to inform that it has signed an agreement with the Relan Group of Industries in order to establish a joint venture in sales. Relan Group is a car components supplier which manufactures seats and other auto components in auto industry of India.
Toyota Boshoku group has entered in the sales joint venture with the Indian car components company Relan Group in order to reinstate its sales structure and also for business expansion in the highly potential auto industry of India. The amalgamation of the two companies in their joint venture in sales will be known as the Toyota Boshoku Relan India Private Limited.
This decision of combining the sales strengths of the two companies was taken back in the year 2012. Toyota Boshoku and Relan Group had jointly took the decision to merge their total strengths in order have better sales prospects and expand the two companies automotive interior component business in the country by utilizing Toyota Boshoku’s international Research & Development potential and world class manufacturing process along with Relan Group’s marketing and sales strengths. Toyota Boshoku’s will further assist the joint venture with its technical operations to support the sales activities of the company in order to understand and cater to the needs of the Indian customers.
The companies from both the industrial groups are going to invest in the joint venture in order to further strengthen the company. Thus Toyota Boshoku’s management center for the Asia as well as Oceania region, named as the Toyota Boshoku Asia Company Limited, and Relan Group’s auto components firm known as Sharda Motor Industries Ltd. will be also investing in the joint venture in equal shares.
Toyota Boshoku has been operating in the Indian car market, ever since it had started its Indian subsidiary in the form of Toyota Boshoku Automotive India Private Ltd. back in the year 1998. The company is a leading global manufacturer of various car components including car seats, door trims, air filters among others. The company is a part of the Japanese industrial giant Toyota Group and employer 800 workers in India.

The newly formed Toyota Boshoku Relan India Private Limited is scheduled to set up in the city of Pune, in the state of Maharashtra, India in the month November this year. The Chairman of this new automotive components company will be Mr. N. D. Relan, from the Relan Group, while the Managing Director of the company will be Mr. Toshifumi Chujo, from Toyota Boshoku Asia. The establishment of this new company required an investment of 80 million Indian Rupees. The company has equal share holdings by both Toyota Boshoku Asia and Sharda Motor Ltd. The new company is expected to boost sales rates of car interior components in the Indian market.
