The Fortuner is one of Toyota’s premium models, the car exhibits opulence and magnificence. The car is immensely popular in India, and now a reputed auto firm in Australia called (TTC-AU) Toyota Technical Center Australia is engineering the Fortuner based on the new HiLux model.
The car will hit Australian showrooms in the year 2015, on the structuring of the car, Max Gillard, the President of TTC AU announced, that the firm has invested whooping amounts on the second-gen Fortuner which is close to 50% of the available resources. He also went on to say the company is working day and night to emerge with a spectacular second-gen Fortuner, mainly because of its supreme status in South American, South African, Indian and Asian markets.
The Fortuner will be designed with an interesting theme called separate chassis, and according to Gillard, the feel is going to be different from Kluger, built with a single monocoque chassis frame. The main area of focus here is firm balance and smooth ride quality. There has never been a Fortuner in Australia, and representatives from TTC AU are keen to launch the car in the country.
The second-gen Fortuner will be built at the reputed Victoria manufacturing unit, and Gillard is of the view that the car will gather heaps of customers into showrooms. Also the enthusiasm levels with the car is sky rocketing to an extent that, Toyota Australia, is keen to manufacture another Fortuner model along with Aurion and Camry.
The Fortuner is a huge magnificent piece and its luxuriously spacious interior room makes this an ideal family model. In Australia, the family bonding levels are strong just like India; hence Australian families will have some splendid moments in the Fortuner. Gillard said, that Australia has never got a taste of Fortuner, and he also joked about how when travelling overseas, his family has no clue on the design structure of the car. On the topic of the popularity levels of Fortuner when launched, Gillard said, ‘’the car will surely hit on well with the public, there are no reasons for it to not do so.’’
The second-gen Toyota Fortuner at present, is in the mid production stage and will launch in a couple of years. TTC AU was first established in 2003 June, and the center has gone global with units in Thailand, Europe and US. Lucky citizens of Australia can soon get a feel of Fortuner, and this will be an ideal vacation car in the country. The car culture is big in Australia, and people enjoy outdoor activities such as surfing, camping, and paragliding and so on. Most of the adventurous spots are situated at considerable distances from big city centers like Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne and so on.
Adventure buffs in Australia can grab the Fortuner in a couple of years, and immerse in some pleasurable family moments.
