Toyota is expected to launch exciting models in 2014 which will be a mix of sedans and utility vehicles. A much awaited model among is the Toyota Fortuner jeep like SUV which is among its most popular all terrain vehicle. This new Fortuner model which is being designed in Toyota’s factory at Australia will be available in three variants with different diesel engines power capacities to enforce Toyota’s commitment to environmental consciousness. Toyota has recently launched a model of Toyota Fortuner 2014 in Indonesia which has revamped interiors combined with technologically upgraded entertainment system. To make its frontal design more attractive the new Toyota Fortuner has got two LED strips on its front bumper along with chrome grille. These cosmetic changes have been combined with alloy wheels and higher ground clearance. Though no changes have been made to its engine the Fortuner’s entertainment system has been completely revamped to include a wide 7 inch screen and DVD player. To maximize listening pleasure of its seven comfortably seated passengers the Fortuner’s music system will have six speakers spread all over the car along with automatic air conditioning.
In India only the Fortuner’s diesel variants will be sold with both manual and automatic gear options with an upgraded 5 speed transmission to give more power to its 3.0 liter diesel engine. The new Fortuner has an appealing body line and grips the road firmly due to larger wheelbase making it ideal for both rural and urban roads. Due to fall in rupee value the prices of Toyota Fortuner diesel variant to be launched in India in 2014 will be in an expensive range of INR 28.5 – 29 lakhs from base to top models. This car bas been launched in Indonesian market where even with improved looks it has not received the expected response due to high price. The Fortuner’s limited edition cars will have a 2.7 liter petrol engine with an automatic transmission system to retain exclusive image of this range. This new Toyota Fortuner will have redesigned exteriors making it appear more sporty and muscular to compete with the likes of Mahindra’s Scorpio and Ford’s Endeavor. To improve its frontal appearance a new grille will be added to front bumper along with frontal fog lamps and large seventeen inch alloy wheels.
The new Toyota Fortuner to be launched in 2014 is likely to leave prospective customers gaping at its great looks and features though its steep prices will make them reconsider. To make this car more appealing to buyers Toyota has put in extra features like camera for reverse parking along with side and front airbags. Automatically adjustable rear view mirrors have been fitted with turn indicators as a new safety measure. The new Toyota Fortuner will also have four color options of white, silver, grey and black thereby providing more choice to customers. The car will have standard safety features like ABS and EBD along with child locks and steering column that is collapsible in case of frontal impact. Its antitheft system ensures that the engine does not start if authentic key is not used in ignition.
