The world’s most favored car maker, Toyota has recently created a huge wave of interest with the launch of the all new Corolla sedan. The latest generation model has already launched in the international car markets, though it is yet to launch in many developing car markets such as India.
In India, the Corolla goes by the name of Corolla Altis, and the all new model is expected to be unveiled at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. The Corolla Altis is not expected to arrive in India till late 2014, however now it has arrived in the car market of Indonesia. The Indian and Indonesian car markets are considered to be similar, though that of Indonesia is much more developed than India. Now, that the 2014 Corolla Altis has reached the Indonesian car market it can be more expected to be introduced to India very soon.
Toyota’s subsidiary in Indonesia, PT. Toyota Astra Motor has launched the latest generation 2014 Toyota Corolla Altis in the nation on 8th of January this year.
The 11th generation model of the iconic sedan Corolla from the Japanese car major has launched in the Indonesian car market in two model variants with a starting tag of 372.1 million Indonesian rupiah (approximately Rs. 18.9 lakhs).
The latest generation Corolla is a longer car as compared to its preceding model translating into better interior space. The 2014 Corolla Altis flaunts an evolutional design language that has been really praised all over the globe. It has a very bold and contemporary front fascia along with bold cuts and lines all over its body and great exterior features. The all new Corolla is certainly a stunner as compared to the previous model.
The 2014 Corolla is based on Toyota’s Furia concept that the Japanese car major showcased at the Detroit Motor Show in 2013. The new generation car is stunning, but carries a reserved, elegant and sophisticated overall looks. The design language is complete departure from its previous generation models and is aimed at alluring more young generation buyers.
The 2014 Corolla’s interior is endowed with very stylish yet sober features. The sedan has become thoroughly chic but retained the core value of the iconic Corolla. Under the great looking new body, the 2014 Corolla packs in the same mechanical specifications and is powered by the same 1.8 liter VVTi petrol engine. Toyota however, has enhanced the car’s suspension and tweaked the engine for improved power and performance. The engine churns out 151PS of power and 19.4kgm of torque.
The 2014 Corolla Altis is offered in Indonesia with a transmission choice of a manual and an automatic gearbox.
