The iconic Toyota Corolla Altis will be emerging in its all new 2014 avatar in India very soon. Thus, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) India has commenced all the pre-launch promotional activities in full swing. For now, TKM has officially launched a new website to promote the all new Corolla Altis that is devoted to offer the users with all the new features and intricate details of the latest-gen model of the sedan.

The new-gen Toyota Corolla Altis will have a starting price tag of about Rs. 14 lakh for the petrol variant of the sedan along with the manual transmission gearbox, while the petrol automatic transmission variant will be priced at around Rs. 16 lakh. On the other hand, the Corolla Altis’ diesel version will be tagged at about Rs. 15 lakh for the base variant.
Toyota has revealed many new details on the all new 2014 Corolla Altis. The new sedan model will be offered for sale in India in seven various body color options, which includes two different shades of gold, blue, grey, black, white and silver. The new 2014 Altis will be offering first in class features such as reclining rear seats wrapped in premium leather in beige color and a large 7.1 inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system. The new Corolla sedan will also come packed with a range of world class features including an electronically adjustable driver’s seat, reversing camera, keyless entry, navigation system, rear power socket, rear sunshade, reading lamp among many others.
Under the hood, the 2014 Toyota Corolla Altis will be offered with two engine options in India. The Altis petrol version will be powered by a 1.8 liter VVT-i, 4-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of churning out a substantial 140PS of max power and 173Nm of peak torque. The petrol models will get two transmission options of a 6 speed manual and a 7 speed automatic gearbox. The Corolla diesel will pack in a 1.4 liter D4-D, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel mill that delivers 88.5PS of power and 205Nm of torque and is mated to only the 6 speed manual transmission.
The all new Toyota Corolla Altis boasts of a new stylish and bold design language. The new-gen sedan has also become a little longer and wider and a bit lower than its previous model. Thus, it offers enhanced space and legroom and adorns a more athletic stance.
The new debonair looks of the Corolla is aided by new gorgeous swept back headlights, new larger stylized chrome grille, LED daytime running lights and bold body lines. The new sedan features a much sharper face and overall sleek and elegant looks offering stunning visual appeal.
The 2014 Toyota Corolla Altis in its all new dashing avatar is to launch on 27th May. Toyota has already opened the sedan’s pre-launch bookings earlier this month. Potential buyers can book the new Corolla with an amount of Rs. 50,000 and deliveries are expected to commence in May end.
