The car recorded incredible sales of 300,000 in US in 2013, which is a 4% increase from the year ago period; about 97% of Corolla models rolled out in US were built in North America.
Toyota has made commendable profits in many parts of the globe in 2013 with the sale of 9.98 million pieces. The figures are inclusive of products launched from HinoTrucks and Daihatsu Motor company. The percentage growth was 2.4% and the company aims to make a grand 10 million mark this year.
Corolla is a much appreciated car in India, and the company is geared to bring in the 2014 Corolla Altis on the 27th of May. The launch date is just a month away, which implies that Toyota has started its booking procedure; ardent Corolla fans who want the earliest Corolla model can book a car now for Rs 50,000. The car will be sold to customers after a week of its arrival into showrooms.

Apart from having more exquisite features, the car is longer than its predecessor and is 1475mm tall, 1776mm wide and 4620mm long. The wheelbase measurement is 2700mm, lengthier than current car by 100mm.
Nothing has changed on mechanical front, the new Corolla Altis will move on the same petrol dual VVI 1798cc engine and diesel D4D 1364cc power train. The petrol car is attached to seven speed automatic and six speed manual gearbox, and the diesel engine is mated to six speed manual transmission.
