A few days from now Toyota has something exciting in store for the public called Etios Cross. The launch date is the 9th of May, and was first displayed to the public at the acclaimed 2014 Indian Auto Expo in Feb. A new Cross launch is simply amazing and Etios Cross is designed on Liva hatch platform. Toyota has utilized its exemplary creativity powers and has made Etios Cross a more rugged and sporty version of Liva hatch.

Etios Cross is different from Liva on the inside and outside, the exterior characteristics of the car are newly structured fog lights, and shiny diamond cut alloy wheels, outer rear view mirrors with turn indicators, back defogger with wiper, refreshed grille, roof rails and side cladding. The insides too offer great source of excitement with royal piano black theme, world class 2 Din audio system with Aux-in, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, premium leather steering, sporty white cushions on which is a neatly carved Etios Cross logo.
The car will move on robust 1.2 liter petrol, 1.5 liter petrol and 1.4 liter diesel engine. The 1.2 liter petrol engine will emit 78bhp, the 1.5 liter engine 88bhp and 1.4 liter diesel engine will churn 67bhp. The car will cost Rs 5.5 to 6 lakhs and its fierce contender is the forthcoming Fiat Avventura and Volkswagen Polo Cross.
Images of the upcoming Etios Cross is up on the web, in a vibrant orange shade, viewers can view the car from all possible angles the front, back, side, and even the engine components and boot is revealed. Let us go deeper into what the car has to offer, since Etios Cross is a cross model of Etios Liva, the exterior frame is similar to Liva, the only variation lies in roof rails, plastic cladding, and puffed up bumpers, skid plates and bull bar. The cladding covers wheel arches and doors. The headlights have extra reflections that merge with bull bar, the similar identities of both models lie in turning radius and ground clearance.
From the images the insides look amazing, and are more or less similar to Liva, with professionally styled speedometer and tachometer that emits jazzy blue illumination. The cushion ingredients are top class and the materials used are faux carbon fiber and supreme plastics. The high-end V car is decorated with glossy chrome accents around air con vents and gear shifter, and front cushions have height adjustable headrests.
The Etios Cross is a grand new launch and is much awaited car, and is among the lesser number of Crosses on the scene. The car looks chick and sporty and the effect can be compared to Formula One racing. Car enthusiasts will surely want to try out something new, different from the usual hatchbacks, sedans, SUV and MPV launches. The uniqueness lies in plastic cladding, and the other factor which brings out an original identity is bull bar and roof rails.
