Toyota Corolla Bookings Begin at Rs. 50,000

The much awaited Toyota Corolla is ready for sale and will be available in showrooms from May 27th as per official announcement by its manufacturers. Dealers have been asked to start accepting advance booking amounts for this model which will be priced around 14 lakhs for the manual transmission system and around for around 16 lakhs for the automatic version. The new Corolla Altis will now cost Rs. 40,000 more than existing model and will begin deliveries by last week of May 2014 for which bookings have already been done.  Corolla Altis will have five petrol trims and four diesel trims to give better and varied choice to customers including several new luxury and comfort features. Its interiors are spacious as it has a wide body based on wheelbase of 2600mm which drives smoothly on 15 inch alloy wheels with seven spoke design.

This attractive sedan has a powered driver seat which can be adjusted in eight ways to suit driver’s comfort while passengers are given reclining seats in the rear to enjoy graphics or videos on 7 inch touchscreen which controls audio too and is compatible to Bluetooth devices and AUX or MP3 device. The attractive Corolla’s exteriors have rain sensing wipers and LED outlined headlights cluster with project lamps. The car’s aerodynamic body with wide air intakes from lower section of body colored bumper and below hood provides required momentum to move forward with ease. Toyota has launched the Corolla Altis simultaneously across markets in Asia, Europe and United States simultaneously to garner full benefits of the media excitement built around this model which has an iconic status across all markets.

To increase its appeal among people of all age groups Toyota will present the Corolla in light and dark shades of gold followed by blue, grey, black and silver. Toyota has followed a clever marketing strategy by making details of this car available on a dedicated website page and also on Facebook so customers’ queries can be managed directly and bookings can be done faster when these people visit local dealers in their area. Interiors will have comfort of leather seats, sun shades, reading lights along with keyless entry and power windows. For the comfort of driver has also been provided with reverse cameras, satellite enabled navigation system and push button start along with remote control for opening boot lid and fuel tank lid.

Toyota Corolla has reigned as world’s top car model for 2013 and has sold more than 10,98,524 within one year and its 11th generation model is likely to repeat history of its predecessors as till date it has managed to sell more than four crore units since launch nearly 5 decades ago. The petrol variant of Corolla Altis is powered by 1.8 liter dual VVT-I engine with output capacity of 140 PS and diesel engine has 1.4 liter D-4D engine which generates power of 88 PS. Though its great petrol engines have been given options of both 7 speed CVT transmission system and six speed manual system. The bookings which commenced for Corolla in India with an initial amount of Rs.50000 has received overwhelming enquiries from interested customers.
