The latest Toyota’ Yaris which was unveiled early this year at Beijing Auto Show was officially launched at Saudi Arabia last week. The Japanese Yaris is now a five door hatchback with trendy sporty design with a larger body and refurbished interiors. Latest Yaris has an attractive front fascia with Toyota logo and trapezoidal grille with latest safety measures and fuel economy. The layout of new Yaris has largely been developed on basis of customer feedback therefore is available at an affordable price with comfortable interiors to provide buyers a value for money product which can be considered a good investment. Developed on the basis of Toyota’s “Keen Look” concept the model is a combination of classic design and modern angles with understated elegance instead of an aggressive and bold appearance.
2015 Toyota Yaris facelift Europe
Though the Toyota Yaris is available in two petrol trims with 1.0 liter and 1.5 liter along with 1.4D-4D diesel option, only the 1.5 liter option is available in local markets with output of 107 hp followed by torque of 141 Nm. Its exteriors are trendy with black alloy tyres and artistic steel covers along with curvy wheel arches and lines between front and rear wheels. The lightweight car now has compact 4 speed automatic transmission system with tilt adjustable and height manageable steering wheel to ensure comfortable drive for long distances. Though designed as a subcompact sedan this car is popular is Saudi Arabia region which generally prefers powerful SUV’s due to long distances.
This car has a distinct cross shape with prominent lower grille and slim radiator grille all of which is covered by horizontal black slates. Body bumper covers sides of grille with angular design and contains drop shaped fog lamps on sides. Upper section has chrome line surrounding Toyota emblem and waving through upper section of headlamp cluster. Redesigned headlight cluster now contains projector lamp and side indicators with line of LED DRL’s on its outline. Rear taillights in right angle shape have now been redesigned with stylish LED and stop lamps with diffuser function and chrome spoiler above number plate section. Its rear antenna is now shaped like a shark fin and roof spoiler above rear windshield gives the car a smart appearance.
To maintain its control and balance on well laid roads and rough terrain Toyota has equipped the new Yaris with revised suspension system and better interior insulation to reduce exterior ambient noise. In European markets Toyota is planning to present the Yaris with hybrid model too which like diesel and petrol variants will have modern music system with FM/CD/USB/MP3 along with Bluetooth compatibility. New interior comforts now include redesigned dashboard along with larger 7.2 inch touchscreen on central console which is connected to Toyota’s Link entertainment system and SiriusXM Satellite radio. Both steering wheel and seats are covered in leather while adjustable driver’s seat provides comfort to driver on long trips. Toyota’s engineers have improved overall layout and retuned the engine of new Yaris to provide better mileage and comfort to passengers across all temperature levels as it has also been provided with climate controlled air-conditioning system.
