The auto enthusiasts are all eager to know as much as possible about the most awaited next generation cars from the world’s car manufacturing leader, Toyota. The Toyota cars that are grabbing all the leading news on the huge web world are primarily the all new 2014 Corolla model and the new fourth generation Prius Hybrid car. The first one (Corolla) being fully revealed prior its launch and being highly acclaimed for its evolved design language, the car enthusiasts just cannot wait more to get a look at the un-camouflaged Toyota Prius Hybrid. However, the next generation Prius seems to be quite shy unlike its dashing new Corolla sibling and chooses to keep its mask on before it actually hits the market. Nonetheless, the sneak peek game will continue on the internet and the Prius is reportedly spied on yet again.
New spy pictures belonging to the next generation Toyota Prius Hybrid have again come up, though the car has been spied on with heavy camouflages. The car was reportedly spotted while it was following its first stages of road tests to ensure its performance. As before, much of the details on the car are concealed, however the spying eyes had managed to find out that the interior of the car is classier than before and seems to be similar to the interior designs of the Lexus.
This new design language and increasing level of style and comfort is the sign that Toyota is planning to move the very popular Prius hybrid up market. This would be a good decision for the company, as the Prius is really successful in striking the right cords with the consumers. The Prius is a very valuable brand for Toyota and its success is always upstream.
As the looks are hidden, so are the other details on the fourth generation model of the Prius. There are no confirmations about the car powertrain as well, but up to 90 mpg as well as a potential all-wheel drive system with a switch on/off facility are expected. It is also highly speculated that the NS4 Concept is also inspired by the upcoming Prius model.
The next-gen Toyota Prius began testing in southern California and is expected to launch early 2014.
Underneath the camouflage the model’s general shape and body frame remains the same that it very apparent. On the inside, the car takes a lot from the Lexus CT200h in order to place itself in more premium position in the model line of Toyota.
The prototype’s dashboard looked liked that of Lexus, while the centre console controls are considerably repositioned. Nothing much is yet known, but the car’s electric-only range is expected to be enhanced, and it is also supposed to pack in compact batteries and hence enhance boot space.
Under the hood, the fourth generation Toyota Prius is likely to be powered by the same 1.8 liter petrol motor with electric drive system, but albeit everything is expected to come with loads of improvements to boost its power and competency.
