Toyota, the world’s most selling auto brand is planning for massive expansion in the U.S, and thus, the Japanese auto major is going to invest heavily in three of its factories in U.S. Toyota Motor is contemplating to invest a whopping $200 million in order to expand the production capacity of three of its U.S. car factories. However, the Japanese company’s manufacturing facilities that are located at San Antonio’s Tundra and Tacoma are not falling under the production expansion plans.

The three manufacturing plants, where Toyota is about to invest the big amount of money are namely, a V6 motor manufacturing facility located in Huntsville, Alabama; as well as the company’s Bodine Aluminum casting factories, located in Troy, Missouri; and Jackson, Tennessee.

This investment of Toyota that is related to production of the company would be the ninth such investment by the Japanese auto major in the past two years’ time. The previous investments of Toyota sum up to over $2 billion.

Toyota’s massive investment to increase the production capacity in its Alabama, Missouri and Tennessee manufacturing facilities will also make the Japanese auto giant to increase the employment in the mentioned plants by a total of over 4,000 more workers.

Also according to the sources, out of the total $200 million investment, Toyota contemplates to invest a major amount of $150 million solely on the Alabama engine manufacturing factory.

This particular engine factory of Toyota that is located in Alabama presently manufactures three types of engines, namely the V6, V8 and 4 cylinder motors that power eight Toyota car models for the car market of North America.

The rest of the $50 million of the new investment plan of Toyota would be received by the Bodine Aluminum, which is a fully owned subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corp. The $50 million investment will be made on the two manufacturing factories of Bodine that are located in Troy, Missouri and Jackson, Tennessee respectively. Bodine is responsible to manufacture casting parts for the Japanese auto major.
Meanwhile, Toyota is busy on developing new and innovative cars for the world, as it also strives to come up with futuristic car concepts that can actually change the future of commutation.
