Details of 2014 Vios revealed expected to hit Malaysian soil in five versions

The new Toyota Vios is geared for Malaysian launch, ardent car fans in India are thrilled with the launch since there are leaked brochures of the car. For an interesting piece of information the car was first launched in Thai markets in Feb 2013. The car was then imported to Malaysia and contributed tremendous sales to the company.

The new Vios in Malaysia will be launched in 5 versions such as TRD Sportivo, G, E, AT, MT and J. These variants are equipped with a powerful 1.5 liter petrol mill with the advanced 1NZ FE technology that churns impressive efficiencies of 141NM peak torque and highest power of 109PS. The car is matted to 4 and 5 speed automatic and manual transmissions respectively.

The new Vios will be inserted with standard safety features to offer optimum protection to occupants with ISOFIX for child safety, EBD, ABS and airbags. There is also brake assist technology and 15 inch alloy tires for smooth maneuvering. The basic J model is inserted with world class music system with 2 DIN and MP3 player and four speakers along with seats with premium black upholstery and halogen head lamps. For the E version the interiors are tailored with grey and black dual theme along with best-in-class audio devise which is also found in TRD Sportivo and G version.

The TRD Sportivo and G versions are incorporated with leather cushions in a classic black and red combination to deliver a professional image. The G variant is tailored in an ivory shade. To cater to wider consumer preferences there are optional accessories to choose from with reverse parking, voice commands, navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, touch screen and multimedia infotainment devise. The car will hit Malaysian shores sometime in October and will cost Rs 15 to 18.1 lakhs.
