After a lot of speculations, spy pictures and waiting, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has finally launched the new facelift Innova in India today, 5th of October, 2013. Toyota has launched the new Innova with a starting price tag of Rs. 9.77 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for its base EV model. The refreshed Innova’s diesel line-up in India has a price range that extends up to Rs. 15.06 lakh for the new high-end model trim ‘Z’ (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
Toyota India has also updated its official website with all the required information on the new Innova, containing all the details about the added features and changes in the vehicle, entire price list as well as dealer locations, etc.
Over the last few weeks, most of the details about the new refreshed Toyota Innova in India have been leaked out on the internet including its price range, the new features and the new Z top trim model along with lots of spy pictures.
The new refreshed Innova flaunts a redesigned larger front grill and chrome accentuated fog light casings for a more attractive front fascia, while the rear of the vehicle gets a thick chrome strip to decorate its tail gate that the company says ‘The Dazzling Chrome Back Door’.
The Innova’s new top trim model Z is easily distinguished from the rest of the variants by its trendy body graphics and side moldings. The model also gets a chrome finished rear spoiler and muffler cutter. On the inside, the Z trim gets classy wooden inserts, and wooden finished dashboard and gear lever knob with silver finished dashboard panel. The model also gets fashionable two tone upholstery along with premium leather seats. The top end variant also gets the car safety features of 2 front airbags as well as ABS.
The new Innova also gets a new advanced infotainment system and roof mounted screen among many other features.
Under the hood, the new Toyota Innova has not got any changes and gets powered by the same 2.5 liter D4D engine that is mated to a 5 speed manual transmission gearbox. The vehicle now comes in 5 model trims namely, EV, G, GX, VX and Z in both 7 and 8 seater variants.
While speaking on the launch of the new Innova, Deputy Managing Director and COO at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Sandeep Singh said that the Innova has been an undisputed segment leader and has earned a place for itself over the years. The Innova being Toyota’s flagship brand is one of the most successful offerings from the company in India. The Innova is a highly sought after vehicle due to its high quality standards and Toyota’s brand power.
He added that the new Innova is designed to offer more luxurious features along with trendier looks and promises to provide enhanced comfort, style and class for an overall elegant and premium image. The company is extremely happy to offer this new model to the customers in the auspicious festive season.
