By launching the new top-end variant, Toyota would obviously look forward to halt the drop in sales which fell by a staggering 27 percent from April to August. The slide in sales has been for Innova has been steeper than the market average. This lead to the market share of Toyota falling from a top 7.03 percent recorded in 2012 April-August period to 5.44 percent in 2013 April-August period.
