Toyota working its way to future – Ready to showcase 5 awesome concepts at Tokyo Motor Show

The world’s auto leader, Toyota Motor is a pioneer of innovation and new ideas to make for a better future mobility system. The Japanese car behemoth is ready with 5 new concept cars to make the upcoming Tokyo motor show a stunning event.

The Tokyo Motor Show that begins on the 20th of this month. Apart from futuristic car concepts, Toyota will also provide a closer look at its Hydrogen powered fuel cell sedan that will make its market launch in 2015.

Let us take a look at the 5 awesome vehicles that Toyota will display at the auto show:

Fuel Cell Vehicle Concept

The first in line is the upcoming Fuel Cell sedan from Toyota will make its appearance for the first time at the Tokyo Motor Show. The Fuel Cell technology is the currently the most talked about green technology, which is supposed to bring about a new green revolution in the global automotive industry.

Toyota has already revealed that the automaker has been able to reduce its development costs by half which was one of its crucial concerns. The hydrogen powered sedan will have a great range of 500 kilometers with a full tank and can be refueled in just 3 minutes. The design language of the green car is inspired by the natural conversion of gas to water and thus, features a smooth flowing sleek design. This car will run on hydrogen gas and will release only water vapor into the atmosphere.

The FV2 concept

The FV2 or the Fun Vehicle 2 concept is a very innovative futuristic concept that reflects the company’s motto – fun to drive. This concept revolves around the machine-human relationship, or artificial intelligence that connects with humans in an advanced way.

The FV2 will read the mood or emotions of the driver and change its color corresponding to the emotion. Depending on the driver’s mood it also suggests destinations from stored driving history and also gives color alerts to warn the oncoming vehicles at blind spots. The FV2 has no steering wheel and steers according to the driver’s shifting body movements.

Toyota has released a smartphone application that gives a better idea of the FV2 driving experience.

Japan Taxi Concept

Toyota will debut its JPN Taxi Concept that is meant only for the Japanese market. This is designed to be helpful especially for ailing or old people. With its sliding electric doors, and large flat floor it makes for accessibility for passengers with wheel chairs or baby prams. This 5 seater taxi has an advanced LPG hybrid system that makes it a perfect green city car.

MPV Voxy & Noah concept

The Voxy and Noah are Toyota’s compact MPV concepts. The production models of these seven-seater vehicles are scheduled to launch in Japan in 2014.

Aqua G Sports

Toyota will also display the Aqua G Sports concept which is a sports variant of the Aqua hybrid super mini car that comes with more power and zing.
