India is a growing market for the carmakers from all over the world and because of that, various automobile manufacturers are coming to India to establish themselves here and to sell their products. With the increasing number of manufacturers, it is obvious that the competition among them will also increase. The advantage of the tensed competition among the manufactures for the common people is that they get more options to choose from the wide range of cars. For example, the MUV (Multi Utility Vehicle) also known as MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) category is flooding with new cars, and two of them are the Chevrolet Enjoy and the Toyota Innova.
Well, let us talk about the Toyota Innova first. The Innova has been in the market for years now and it has been a successful car. Today, the Innova is available in 2 engine options. The petrol variant is a 2.0 L petrol engine which generates a max power of 130 bhp and 181 Nm of peak torque and gives a mileage of around 13 kpl. Whereas the diesel variant of the Toyota Innova is a 2.5 L engine which churns out 100 bhp of max power and 200 Nm of highest torque and gives a mileage of around 14 kpl. Both the engines are mated to a Manual gearbox and there is no automatic gearbox available even as an option in any of the variants. The Innova looks and build is very solid and the new model has more usage of chrome all around. The interiors are luxurious and spacious as well. You can easily take along your friends or colleagues on a trip or give them a ride home because Innova has more than enough space to accommodate 7 to 8 people easily.
The Chevy Enjoy is, you can say, the Innova of people who are financially bounded. It certainly lacks that high class quality which is experienced in the Innova but it is capable to do its job very well. The Enjoy is available in two engine variants. A 1.4 L petrol engine producing 102 bhp of max power and 131 Nm of peak torque and a 1.3 L diesel engine generating a max power of 76 bhp and a peak torque of 188 Nm. Enjoy also does not comes with an option of automatic transmission and it is not needed in it. The manual gearbox does the labour impressively. Although the Enjoy is not as luxurious as the Innova but it is very comfortable and spacious. The looks also are pretty decent.
Well, the Toyota Innova begins at a price of Rs 10.03 lacs and ends at Rs 15.07 lacs (ex showroom New Delhi) while the price range of the Chevrolet Enjoy is between Rs 5.71 lacs to Rs 8.21 lacs (ex showroom New Delhi). Clearly, the Innova is much more expensive but it also provides luxury and better ride quality which lacks in the Enjoy at higher speeds. But the Chevy Enjoy performs pretty well considering the price it is available at.
