The world’s automotive leader Toyota Motor has expressed its wish and its inclined efforts to make its next-generation model of the Camry sedan to look attractive to engage the younger consumers. The current generation Camry is obviously a half attempt in being a dashing modern looking car, but Toyota is much more determined to come up with a more stunning design the next time. However, the company officials say that it still will retain some of its conventional styling features, while definitely being more stylish. While the all new Camry will retain some conventional styling, the next gen Prius is expected to don a completely new design language meant to turn heads and wow the onlookers.
The current model of the Prius is a brisk seller and is favored by the world’s consumers. Toyota surely does not want to harm this high selling model by going ahead with a radical design change that might not click with the consumers. However, the hybrid pioneer model Prius is getting very tough competition from its stunning rivals. Thus, Toyota feels that it cannot stick on to its conventional safe design strategies anymore and has to venture with new stunning design language. The Japanese auto king is currently busy working on the absolute design revolution for its iconic hybrid Prius, while also working on a great design to its decades old iconic Camry.
Toyota is thus taking on the gamble of a high risk design overhaul for its next generation Prius model. Toyota is the world’s most favored auto brand the largest selling one, and obviously it is not so without enough reasons. The Toyota cars are hailed for its extremely reliable performance, high safety level and superb durable quality. However, with the passing time, the company’s capable cars that have remained bestsellers for a long time are being increasingly criticized for the very conservative design language.
One of Toyota’s iconic brands, namely the Corolla sedan that was highly daunted by its overtly plain looks has been just corrected by Toyota. Though not a thoroughly drastic departure from the conventional styling the all new Corolla is certainly a design evolution over its previous generation model. The new Corolla flaunts a bold and sharp front fascia with highly stylized powerful headlights, while the bold cuts and creases on the car’s body make it look further aggressive.
The next generation Prius on the other hand, is planned to be a complete design departure from the current model that will set its onlookers’ hearts racing with excitement. So, will Toyota, the all along conservative style believer be able to churn out a superb eye popping design for the new Prius. The answer is certainly yes. Being the world’s top auto maker, nothing is impossible for Toyota. And if the company can come up with great innovative technological advancements, it can certainly do the same when design is concerned.
Toyota’s new design line is already expressed in the stunning FCV and FT-1 sports car concepts.
