Interesting facts of 2016 Fortuner

The Indian division of the acclaimed Japanese firm, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM)  has produced spark models. A car that is on top of the desirability list is Toyota Fortuner. A new Fortuner launch is exciting, and Toyota car buffs can look forward to happy moments with splendid launches like Etios Cross, new Corolla Altis and new Fortuner.

The new next gen Fortuner car is 2016 model, and will launch in 2016, the due arrival date is not anytime soon. Car enthusiasts have yet managed to capture the outline of the model. A car fanatic has emerged with a computer sketched model of the car.

Sources say that the 2016 Fortuner will not ride on advanced monocoque chassis. Toyota has decided to use the same ladder frame set up platform, Fortuner is tailored for consumers to have loads of fun on rough adventurous terrains, and that is how the car is perceived. Customers have given their feedback on the base preferences, and have stated that they prefer the rough terrain power of ladder-frame chassis.

Fortuner is among the most wanted cars in India, and has contributed significant 15% profits in domestic sector of Toyota Kirloskar Motor. The car is not in the limelight, but the original Fortuner is appreciated to the core. During the initial four months of 2014, Toyota Kirloskar Motor rolled out 4,920 units of the car. Its fiercest rival is Hyundai Santa Fe, and the profit status of the car is nowhere near Fortuner. In the same period, Hyundai sold just 509 pieces of Santa Fe. The goal of TKM at the moment is to focus on strengthening the lavish portfolio of the car.

Although the waiting period of 2016 Fortuner is a couple of years away, there are other Fortuners to look forward to. According to the buzz Toyota India is keen to introduce many more Fortuner variants. Innova is also a big car wonder product of Toyota. The company will inject 2016 Fortuner with diesel 3 litre engine coupled with automatic transmission with four wheel drive capacity.

The current Fortuner looks macho from the outside, the interiors are equally grand. The material quality is first grade, the feel is good but not upmarket, the inner décor theme is dual tone beige, and the dashboard is professionally styled and looks pretty urbane. The comfort levels are top class, with more than sufficient leg and head room. There are ample storage spots in the form of cup holders and side pockets.

The current piece is the 2012 model, it has a classy centre console on which is high class audio system with DVD and Bluetooth connectivity. The four spoke steering has audio controls. There is a reverse camera for greater visibility; the dash is decorated with premium wood material. The driver’s seat has six way height adjustment facilities. The instrument control has Optitron dials for superior visibility. The other interesting features are robust air con with automatic climate control, rear and front arm rest, cabin lamp with switch off timer, multi information display, gate type shift levers and call functions.
