Toyota the highly established Japanese based auto enterprise views Indian to be a robust export destination, and is keen to expand its export enterprise in the country. Toyota Kirloskar Motor has signed a MoU with Kamarajar Port Limited, also referred to as Ennor Port to expand export business.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor aims to build a firm relationship with the port, with a vision to facilitate impressive growth in the export market and also improvise on the viability and business growth factor. The company has undertaken a ten year understanding with the port in presence of minister of state for shipping P. Radhakrishnan and Union shipping minister Nitin Gadkari, the whole-time director and Vice-Chairman of TKM Shekar Vishwanathan was also present.
The brand value presence of TKM in India is robust, and the desirable range of products is Corolla, Fortuner, Innova, Etios Liva and Etios. The automobile market in the country has become more competitive than ever, economic pressures and inflation has taken a toll on adequate profit generation. Toyota and many other established companies have recorded profits over the past few months. The rivalry is however still tight and inflation rates are wavering.
To be able to sustain the pressurized markets, Toyota is keen to elevate its export volumes by signing a MoU with Kamarajar Port Limited. The customer buying power in domestic market has weakened and the company is unable to make desirable profit gains. The best measure to fight the highly challenging economy is to find measures to increase export volumes.
Amidst the conditions of turbulent economy Toyota launched a couple of hit products in 2014, Etios Cross and new Corolla Altis. Etios Cross is a cross variant of the popular Etios Liva hatchback car. It flaunts highly sporty and trendy exteriors, filled with side plastic cladding and roof rails. The company has set a benchmark among the Cross market, and it is a fierce contender to Fiat Avventurra, upcoming Elite i20 Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo.
The new Corolla Altis has premium exterior and Toyota has styled the car with an innovative Furia design concept. The exterior styling is superior to its predecessor and the inner decor is marvellously grand and a source of deep fascination. The company has an intriguing range of forthcoming cars such as new Innova, new Fortuner, Hiace and new Vios.
The new Innova is a contemporary variant of the past, and the interiors are refurnished to create a more luxurious atmosphere. Toyota is designing the new Fortuner on the same lines, and the new Vios looks stunning. It is a rare entry into the Indian market and a supreme hit in Asian markets.
Toyota has a strong line up of current and upcoming products, and now the strategy to increase export volumes through the MoU with Ennor port may be a step towards increased profit volumes.
