Toyota is all set with its new yield, Fortuner rolling on to the SUV (sports utility vehicle). The Toyota is also dominant in multi utility vehicle segment. Toyota Fortuner is a massive machine with a heavy muscular and sporty look which draws everyone’s eyes. Toyota has launched Fortuner initially with a basic model of 3.0L diesel engine with 4WD (wheel-drive) which has the efficiency to produce a power of 168bhp and a torque of 343Nm which is mated to 5 speed manual transmission engine. However, the next trend exhibited to the market in 2012 had minor changes which made the new Fortuner more elegant and smart. The new Fortuner is 3.0L diesel D4 engine with power factors same as the previous. The new Fortuner is 2WD (wheel-drive) engine. The new version carries two varied models with it, 4-speed auto transmission and 5-speed manual transmission.
The new Fortuner has great looks among the vehicles that fall under SUV segment. This Japanese manufacturer has to worry none about this segment. The first look gives muscular portrait of the SUV. The Fortuner 2012 comes with three variations. The first is the new Fortuner 4×2 diesel engine which comes with a manual transmission with 5-speed. The 4×2 Fortuner 4cylinder 16 valve engine with 2982cc and a max power of 171ps@3600rpm. The second variant is the 4×2 AT diesel that comes with a 4-speed auto transmission engine with the same performance and power. The third variant is the 4×4 MT diesels with 5-speed manual transmission engine and same performance. The Fortuner is efficient in fuel consumption also the mileage is as 7.8 on urban roads and 11.5 on highway roads.
