The Japanese auto giant, Toyota Motors has major plans to expand its product offering in the Indian car market. The world’s largest car manufacturing company has plans to introduce several new cars in India.
Among the contemplated new Toyota cars for the Indian car consumers, one is the Camry Hybrid, which is soon to be launched in the domestic car market. Toyota has also confirmed about the launch of this car in the month of August, 2013 though the exact dates are not revealed. Toyota is apparently very excited about bringing this quality hybrid car to India. The Japanese car major is known for its innovative cars, and thus the company is confident about the success of this hybrid in India, though the Indian car market is rather cynical about these futuristic quality cars that are also eco-friendly.
Nevertheless, Toyota is very optimistic about its Camry Hybrid’s arrival in India and the company is also thinking to assemble the car locally alongside the ongoing 2.4 liter petrol variant of Camry, in order to reduce its price. Toyota is targeting to sell a meager 20 to 25 Camry Hybrid per month in the domestic car market of India.
The Toyota Camry Hybrid will flaunt a very fresh and unique front fascia with stunning features as compared to its Petrol counterpart. However, the rear part of the car will be similar to that of the Camry petrol, though the hybrid car will sport an exclusive blue badge reading ‘Hybrid Synergy Drive’ at its back that will distinguish it.
Toyota is also planning to launch the new Rush in India in order to be a part of the highly coveted compact SUV segment of India. The new Toyota Rush mini SUV is expected to hit the Indian car market sometime around in November this year.
Toyota is expected to bank big on the all new Rush in order to pump up its sales in the market. Toyota had reportedly suffered a steep decline of 35.33 percent in its sales rates in the month of May 2013, and the company is all set to put things back on track.
The new Toyota Rush is a stunning compact SUV that can really make it big in the Indian car market owing to the huge popularity of this segment. The Japanese car major is expected to launch both the fuel options of petrol and diesel versions of the new Rush. The petrol avatar of the Rush will be powered by a 1.4L petrol motor based on the engine that drives the company’s quality sedan, Etios.
On the other hand, the diesel Rush will be driven by a 1.4L D4-D diesel mill that is based on the motor that gives power to the Corolla Altis. Toyota is also expected to offer the all four wheel drive option to the Indian consumers.
Moreover, Toyota is supposed to tag the Rush competitively. Thus, the Japanese car major is all braced up to take on the Indian SUV market as well.
