Drive safe with Toyota Etios Liva or Honda Jazz

An innovatively designed Etios Liva is here from the house of Toyota. Giving tough competition to the car is Honda’s Jazz, the first hatchback from Honda, which also marked the entry of Honda into the segment of small cars. Let us explore the two cars to get an idea which is a best buy.

Appearance of Etios Liva

Taking a look at the lower and upper grille along with the headlamp of Liva one can imagine a human face smiling in the front of the car. The headlamps appear like the dimples with the smile taken together. The crease of the bonnet of this car makes the car look sportier. The car has been beautified with small lights and a bumper with two small fog lamps. The rear side of the hatchback is typical one. On its side, the doors have some up-sweeping creases also.

Honda Jazz is a very stylish and sporty car. At its front, sharp lines come with central bonnet ridge. The premium front chrome grille of this car resembles look of Honda CR-V. The headlights have been coloured in silver and are matt finished, the windscreen of this car is steeply raked and the glass area is ellipsoidal shaped. The door handles comes in body colour and the alloy wheels gives the car a classy look. In its rear, the tail lamps have been newly designed and the look is further enhanced by the chrome garnishing. A roof antenna has been placed on the top rear portion.

Interiors

The interior of Liva flaunts the fact that Toyota has thought differently while designing this car. This car has more space than any other cars of its segment if compared and provides with best seats ever. Cushioning of these seats has been done so properly that the sitting position becomes very comfortable. The interior comes in dual tone colour which stretches up to the three spoke steering wheel. Its AC vents are shaped spherical. Its instrument panel consists of tachometer and trip metre. It has more features which are technologically advanced too.

The interior of Honda Jazz looks attractive as it is beige coloured. Its dashboard has dual tone colour and is equipped with advanced instrument panel. The upholstery also comes in beige colour. Jazz is a very spacious car from inside and the headspace allows even a 6ft tall person to accommodate. The amber coloured instrument cluster in this car looks elegant and consists of stereoscopic dials with fuel consumption indicator. The rear seats have been placed a bit higher than the front seats so that rear passengers get a clear view of the front. The car has a lot of compartments. Honda Jazz also comes with safety features like dual airbags at the front, ABS, EBD etc.

Engine power

Etios Liva has been powered with 1197cc petrol engine with 4 cylinder and 8 valves, SOHC, D-4D engine that produces a max power of 68ps @ 3800rpm and a max torque of 170nm @ 1800-2400rpm. Honda has powered Jazz with 1.2L, 1198cc, four cylinder powerful petrol engine with 5 speed manual gearbox. The engine generates a power of 90Ps @ 6200rpm and a maximum torque of 110nm @ 4800rpm.

Having analysed varied features of the car it would not be wrong to call Toyota Etios Liva a safer hatchback than Honda Jazz.
