Toyota Rush Vs Mahindra Quanto Comparison

The compact SUV segment is really booming in the Indian auto market and that’s a well-known fact. Thus, all the auto manufacturing companies are hoping onto the SUV bandwagon to taste the success that Mahindra & Mahindra is already raveling in. The Indian auto market is brimming with very successful compact SUVs, from the Mahindra XUV500 and Rexton to the Renault Duster, and many more are on their way.

The Japanese major Toyota too wants a slice of this sweet and successful pie. Thus, the auto company is all set to create a storm in the Indian auto market with its compact SUV, the Toyota Rush. This baby SUV from Toyota comes with a lot of promises, as it claims to offer functionality, comfort and performance along with great styling.

The Toyota Rush will look quite like the RAV4 from the front, which is very a popular SUV from the house of Toyota. The SUV is also supposed to offer tough build quality as well. It is meant to be a big and hardy family car that will move the mass with style.

As for the interiors of the compact SUV is concerned, it has a nice and practical cabin meant for the superior comfort of the passengers. This 5 to 7 seater mini SUV is going to enter into a tough competition among many other SUVs in India, that are already running on the roads or are about to make their debuts.
Under the hood, it is expected to be powered by a 1.5 L4 petrol engine that produces 108 Bhp at 6000 rpm. The engine is mated with a 5 speed Manual transmission.

The elegant and classy exterior looks of the Toyota Rush is matched by the world class features that is standard on this compact SUV. The car will be equipped with an Anti-Brake System (ABS), EBD Alarm System, Anti-Jam power windows, and height adjustable driver seats among other high-end features. This SUV is already gracing the roads of Malaysia and is highly awaited in India.

The Toyota Rush is expected to be priced around Rs. 9,50,000 and is expected to arrive the Indian market towards the end of this year. Now, the Toyota Rush will be a tough contender of the Indian SUV master’s Mahindra Quanto. This compact SUV is also very popular in India that was launched in September 2012.

The Mahindra Quanto comes with really great performance and the brand assurance of Mahindra. It is very comfortable for 5 passengers though the car can also accommodate up to 7 passengers.
Under the hood, the Quanto is powered by a BS IV diesel engine mated with a 5 speed manual transmission.

Though the exterior of the Quanto is not really snazzy and can’t match up to the Toyota Rush, it can really make it up by offering a great price tag. The Mahindra Quanto is aggressively priced at Rs 5.82 lakh, which reaches up to Rs 7.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the top-end variant. Needless to say, the Quanto and the Rush will really lock horns to heat up the SUV segment.
