Toyota Kirloskar Motor is getting ready to introduce the Camry Hybrid in India very soon. The new hybrid offering from the house of Toyota to India is due sometime in the month of September, 2013. The Camry Hybrid would be the second offering to India from Toyota after the much acclaimed Prius Hybrid.

Earlier the Toyota Camry Hybrid was speculated to arrive in the Indian car market by the month of August, but now it is confirmed that Toyota Kirloskar Motor is going to launch the hybrid in the next month. Toyota is also planning to start all the pre-launch activities for the Camry Hybrid by the middle of this current month. It is expected that the quality hybrid car will hit the Indian market within a month’s time from the date of its pre-launch activities launch, which means that it would probably arrive by the middle of September.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor is also expected to plan for the local assembly for the Camry Hybrid in order to make it more affordable in the future. The Toyota Camry is a CKD, meaning Completely Knocked Down unit, and the Japanese car leader could follow the same procedure with its Hybrid variant in India as well as opposed to importing it as a CBU such as the Prius Hybrid.

As for the rear design of the hybrid car, it will be the same as its petrol counterpart. However, the Camry Hybrid will sport a unique blue badge at its back that will shout its individual class.

The Thai specification Camry Hybrid will be arriving India, that draws power from the 2.5 liter petrol motor that also drives the regular Camry. In addition, the hybrid is powered by an electric motor. The Camry Hybrid’s motors are coupled with the e-CVT transmission and the Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive system.
