The other dignitaries present were Mr. Sanjay Gupta, the General Manager in the Marketing Department and Mr. Jiveshdeep Singh Sandhu who in charge of Brand Strategy and Marketing.
The Innova is built at the reputed Toyota Kirloskar factory in Bangalore, and was first launched in May 2005. This car is a replacement of Toyota Qualis, and is rolled out in petrol and diesel engines. The petrol version is designed with the high tech Variable Valve Timing technology.
The interiors are designed with a unique dual theme with matt polish and wooden insertions on the edges of switches, central console and knobs. The seats are designed with premium make, can accommodate even an over 6 foot passenger. There is space for range of accessories such as newspapers, bottle holders, books and so on. Occupants can enjoy a mini picnic in the car itself. Moreover the seats offer optimum comfort in all three compartments. There are split reclines to enjoy the spirit of luxury to great heights.
The Innova is fitted with an efficient 2.5 liter common rail turbo diesel power train which makes this car compete with arch rivals of Tavera and Scorpio. The powerful engine can churn impressive engine outputs of 102bhp. The short gear ratios match up to the engines torque and power values. There are drawbacks with short gear ratios on highways, at speeds above 120 Kmph; there is destruction from distinct drone. The advantage with short gear ratios is you can maneuver up to 10.3 Kmpl on top gears.
The safety features are designed with supreme engineering technologies with the Load Sensing Proportion Valve that delivers decent braking mechanisms, there is anti lock braking system (ABS), two SRS airbags in front, side door impacts, 3 seatbelts in each row and child protection doors and so on. To prevent unwanted thefts there is a Theft Deterrent System.
