The Toyota Altis for the year 2014 is the first ever remodeled variant from Toyota to enter the Asian market. Toyota has been pretty quick in updating its Corolla model and the present variant is at present available at five trim levels namely classic, elegance, deluxe, Sporty and monarch variant. All of the variants are powered by the four cylinder DOHC 1.8 liter VVT engine and it offers a power of 140 PS and a torque of 176 NM. The variant is mated with a CVT gearbox and users could enjoy its ambience CVT unit with a Tiptronic gear level to choose from at least seven speed levels.
There are visual and feature additions to the variant available in the form of titanium black trim at the center console and its steering has been mounted on the shift paddles with an LED brake light and fully furnished body sketches. The Corolla Altis has been certified to afford 19.4 km/lender test conditions and the prices of the car could start at 646,000 Wan in Taiwan and INR 13.55 lakhs in India and could extend up to Rs 16.16 lakhs for the sporty Z model. Indians may have to wait until next year for the Toyota Altis to arrive in India.

The new generation Toyota Corolla was unveiled in June 2013 and the two variants were unveiled simultaneously, one is its North American model and the other is termed as its Euro model. The new Toyota Altis is longer and seems pretty wider than most of the current generation car and has a complete 100 mm longer wheelbase that could translate into greater interior space. The Altis would feature one of the longest wheelbases that match most of its competitors.
The Toyota Altis would be made available in three different engines namely the 1.33 liter VVTi engine that has the power and torque of 99 hp and 128 Nm, the other is the 1.6 liter Valvematic engine that offers a power of 132 hp and a torque of 160 Nm and the last one is a 1.4 liter 4D diesel engine that affords a power of 90 hp and a torque of 205 Nm. The vehicle is available in different transmission systems for example a six speed manual system, four speed auto transmission system and also a CVT transmission system.
This Altis variant from corolla is featured with both projector and reflector lens and has many headlamp options that is similar with Toyota Vios. The body kitten corolla Altis resorts with the aftermarket daytime running lights that are positioned low at the body kit bumper bits.

The All new Toyota Corolla Altis surely features some of the most modern and charming features and are enabled with an aerodynamic body and an LED headlamp. The vehicle brings the latest design language including its shell and is definitely larger than most of its previous models. Surely it would be a hit among Indian customers who eagerly anticipate its launch.
