Toyota can bank on its existing powerful models to drive future growth

Toyota encountered dismal sales in Fillipino market during the Asian Financial Crises in the 1997 period. This resulted in the public being forced to make strong purchases at a time when the overall profits sales reduced drastically from 162,056 pieces during the 1996 period to as low as 144,221 pieces in 1997. The figures reduced to a larger extent in 1998 and 1999 at 80,193 and 74,407 pieces respectively.

The company struggled with low profits for more than ten years, and in the period of 2010, the outcome was indeed decent compared to years ago at168,490 pieces. Most auto firms would be in a state of turmoil with drastic downfalls in economy, but Toyota Motor Philippine (TMP) managed to emerge with admirable methods to maintain balanced consumer markets by launches models with supreme fuel efficiency at reasonable costs. Such measures would attract herd of customers who depend on cars for daily activities.

The year 1998, the economic situation dipped to new levels, Toyota Motor Philippines has to source new business co-worker and introduced Revo which was a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and this was a focal point for the company to register impressive sales, and the outcome was marvelous, when the production of the car was stalled in the 2005 period, the profits gained by the company was outstanding at more than 70,000 pieces. The customer response was extremely high that it was termed the new power in the automobile industry.

The year 2003 was market with the launch of Vios which was a top seller, and a highly desired product by young highly qualified professional, top corporate firms and taxi enterprises. Some of the key features that made the Vios highly desirable were the reliability and price. Since its inception the Vios sold in dozens, the same trend continued till this year when the selling power was more than 100,000, and is branded the best seller for the company.

The Vios has generated remarkable sales in India as well; the company is keen to introduce the Vios in India that will be positioned between Etios and Altis. The launch of the car will result in stiff competition in the high competitive car industry such as Honda City, Skoda Rapid, and Hyundai Verna and so on. An interesting fact about Vios is this is a hatch version of trendy Yaris.

The style statement of the car is exclusive with artistically sculpted grille, creative decoration in front and rear. The car has a professional and sophisticated sculpt. The head lamps are designed with optimum creativity that spices up the elegant stance of the car. The comfort levels are the car would be breathtaking with abundantly roomy interior with audio controls on steering, world class audio system and decent boot volumes.
