The much talked about all new 2014 Toyota Corolla is expected eagerly in the car market of India. While the all new sedan with its gorgeous exterior appearance has created a wave in the international car markets, it is yet to arrive in India. Though a 2014 model, the all new Corolla has hit the global markets in September this year and is receiving great amount of appreciation from the market experts and the consumers alike.

Now, according to the reliable sources from Toyota, the stunning all new 2014 Toyota Corolla is confirmed to make an Indian debut at the upcoming Indian Auto Expo, scheduled to take place in Noida, in the month of February, 2014.

However, the sources pointed out that though the all new Corolla will be displayed at the Auto Expo, its market launch will take place much later as there is still time for the production commencement at the company’s manufacturing facility at Bidadi.

The all new 2014 Corolla sedan is the 11th generation model of the iconic sedan from the house of Toyota. The latest generation features an evolutionary design language that is leaps ahead of its previous generation model. The sedan now looks much bolder and appealing with an aggressively styled front fascia and bold design cuts all over. Apart from the contemporary appealing visual appeal, the all new sedan also comes along with a better performance and efficiency with and enhanced suspension and tweaked powertrain from the company.

The all new Corolla sedan was introduced in two specs of the American and the European versions this year. The production of the European spec of the 2014 Corolla has commenced at a new Toyota plant located in Sakarya, Turkey in the month of July, while the American spec sedan hit the production at the Blue Springs manufacturing facility in Mississippi, in the month of August, this year.

The 2014 Toyota Corolla that is headed for the Indian car market would be the same one as Europe. The all new sedan is expected to be driven by the same 1.4 Liter diesel mill that has the capability to churn out a maximum power output of 88.4PS and a peak torque of 205Nm, as well as the 1.8 Liter Dual VVT-i engine that delivers a max power of 140PS and the top torque of 173Nm and is mated to a 6 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic transmission gearbox. In the European counterpart of the all new Corolla, this engine can pump out 138hp of power and 173Nm of torque. In the Indian model, the power outputs might be reduced a bit in order to provide greater fuel efficiency.

The Japanese car major has started testing the all new Corolla on the roads around the Bidadi car factory, where the ongoing model is still assembled from the CKD kits brought from Thailand. It is still unknown as to where the 2014 Corolla would be sourced from for India, as the European spec model is manufactured in Turkey.
