The new generation Toyota Fortuner premium SUV is a highly awaited new car launch in India, as it is the ruler of its own class in this country. Though the new-gen Fortuner model launched earlier this year in the international market, it is yet quite some time away from the Indian shores to the woe of the Fortuner lover in India. Now, as the time of the new Fortuner’s launch in this country is approaching nearer, more details are emerging about the India spec Fortuner SUV.
It has come to light that the new generation Toyota Innova is will be coming with a bit of a different look for the Indian car market, making it separate from the global spec model. It can be expected that the when the new generation Toyota Fortuner does come to the Indian car market, it will have some changes that will make it more India appropriate and more suitable for the needs for the Indian SUV buyers. However, the premium SUV model’s latest avatar was not expected to get any changes when its exterior looks are concerned and the same international looks were expected in this country as well.
However, if the Indian audience is getting tensed about getting a milder version of the all new more stylized Toyota Fortuner premium SUV, then fear not as it is quite the opposite.
As is already known, the new Fortuner has become highly contemporary, stylish and sleek with a great new exterior design language. However, it has also been reported that in the process of becoming sleek and stylish, the new generation Fortuner has lost some amount of its muscular SUV grits, which much not go well with the Indian audience. May be that is why Toyota Motor has decided to bulk up the new Fortuner a bit along with some added styling goodies in order to recreate the spell of the Fortuner with the new-gen model.
It has been recently teased that the India-bound Toyota Fortuner premium SUV model will be flaunting a more stylized exterior design with the help of some added styling elements including add-on chin for the front as well as rear bumpers, side steps, chrome finished exhaust tips, and aggressive looking alloy wheels painted in matte black color. This means that for India the all new Fortuner will come with an added premium SUV appeal that is different from the international markets.
The new Toyota Fortuner SUV has also improved on its safety measures which now include an extensive package of 7 air bags, ABS along with EBD Hill Hold, VSC, Trailer Sway control. The premium SUV also comes with many other great features that include new powerful LED projector headlights, premium leather seats, pushbutton start system, power tailgate, two driving modes and 18 inch alloy wheels among others.
Under the hood, the all new Toyota Fortuner will be packing in two diesel engine options from Toyota’s new GD engine family, namely a 2.4 liter and a 2.8 liter GD diesel mill.
