Avanza is yet another stylish car like Innova from Toyota’s stable. While Xylo is a MPV from Mahindra’s end. Both these cars are being compared below.
Tata Avanza basically is a sporty IMV. At its front, the nose of the car flaunts chrome finished upper grille and sporty looking headlamp cluster. The headlamps are multifunctional and turn indicators are added to the cluster. The front bumper has an exclusive design and fog lamps are integrated on its each side. Under the front bumper of the car a unique lower grille is placed. The bumpers, spoilers, door handles and side view mirrors come in body colour. The tail light cluster is stacked vertically and it houses the brake light also. This car comes with six spoke 15 inch alloy wheels.
Mahindra has shown much care while designing its Xylo. The front grille of the car strikes attention and has been made sleeker and thinner and a bit rectangular. The body graphics of the car is very masculine. The bumpers have been stylized and air dams are being provided. The headlamps now come with different style along with the indicators. The door handles and the OVRMs come in body colour. Body claddings are also provided to the car. The car has roof rails and rear spoiler. New footsteps are been added and redesigned with mud flaps.
The front cabin of Avanza is quite spacious and comes with seats which are adjustable. The interior has beige colour and the seats are of fabric materials. The dashboard comprises of the instrument panel, storage box, ac vents and also the audio system. The steering wheel is four spoke and is of rack and pinion type. For the front seat, armrests have been provided along with bottle holders. For safety reasons, seatbelts are being provided. There is ample head and leg room for the passengers. The seats are long too. The car has power windows, rear door lock, manual seat adjustment etc.
The interior of the Xylo becomes with many comfortable feature. The first feature is the voice command technology for vehicle commands. This feature will enable the customer to take control over thirty features of the car. The car is roomy and spacious. The car is packed in Italian premium leather and fabric upholstery. This car also has the digital drive assist system. The Xylo comes with door pads, chromed inner door handles, sporty cockpit, leather wrapped gear etc. The steering wheel is adjustable also.
Toyota Avanza comes with the 1.5L 4 cylinders, DOHC 16 valve with VVTi engine that produces a maximum power of 109 PS at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 141 Nm at 4,400 rpm. Mahindra Xylo comes with the 2.5 litre of mEagle CRDe diesel engine which churns out a maximum power of 112 bhp at 3800rpm and a maximum torque of 260Nm at 1800- 2200rpm.
Toyota Avanza is an extremely stylish IMV as well as the Mahindra Xylo which is also a MPV. Both these cars are suitable for the Families in India. In overall terms, Avanza scores better than Xylo.
