Toyota Kirloskar Motor is not considering on manufacturing new models for the next three years, because the company is keen on improvising the Etios and Liva brands. The company has two plants in Bangalore, producing some of the best models of Toyota, the older plant manufactures Innova and Fortuner, while the newly set up established plant focuses on Etios twins and Corolla. Toyota India’s main aim at the moment is to focus on producing a high quality Etios model emphasising more on petrol. The company has now started lining up the petrol engines of Etios. However although the company continues to import diesel plants, the manufacture of diesel is on hold, until the Indian Government is clear on policies for diesel pricing.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has already established its production line capacity to 3,10,000 units per annum,  and the company will start production next year. The company garners high production sales of 1,70,000 units, the company is now focusing on exporting its models to Japan, because of Japan’s stronger economy with the Yen having a higher economic value as against Rupee.

The company at the moment is not concentrating on manufacturing new models, but is rather working on existing models. Toyota is firm on the idea that Etios twins have a great potential to do well in India, the model requires few changes and time to meet the customers’ demands.

Speaking on centering on the plan of improving and manufacturing Etios models Sandeep said “There is potential for growth in the compact SUV segment. So, it will do well for some years. Our competitors are launching models and it will have some bearing initially. We are not entering this segment. Our customers are reliable customers and we are here not for short- term but the long- term.”

The company will consider on improvising the exterior of the model by improving the cosmetic changes, and also upgrade the sedan and hatchback. The company will also make interior modifications.

In order to focus on improving the standard of existing Toyota models, the company believes in conducting extensive research before the launch of any model, some of the examples being Etios and Liva models in India. These cars have the basic features of a successful model on the right track by being reasonable priced, high fuel efficiency and low maintenance cost.

The company presses on the use of Hybrid Technology to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.

This initiative of Toyota to concentrate on existing models and make minor changes such as facelift and few noticeable changes will sure help the company make heaps of profit.

Toyota Etios is already a well established model with great design features and sophisticated appeal. The interior of the car has abundant space providing great comfort and relaxation. The model is known for its high torque and low emission engine and eco-friendliness. The car is designed so that the driver can have a good grip of the vehicle while driving.
