The world’s largest car manufacturing company, Toyota has unveiled the new 4Runner 2014 at the Stagecoach Music Festival. The Toyota 2014 4Runner is a mid-size sports utility vehicle (SUV). The new 2014 version is a revamped release of the Toyota 4Runner has become a legend in itself and has remained a very exciting and most popular SUV choice for around three decades now.
The Toyota 4Runner has been an all-time favourite for the off-roading car enthusiasts who look for a SUV with a superior tough built and rough terrain handling capabilities. Needless to say, the new 2014 4Runner is the refreshed variant of this already immensely popular SUV that will surely enthrall the customers. The 2014 4Runner features a new and rugged design for its exterior and also features several interior updates to enhance the comfort level for the passengers, while keeping its renowned performance capabilities intact.
The 4Runner combines a rugged design with comprehensive suspension technology which produces ultimate off-road capability with a smooth great handling as well as superior comfort for the passengers that only crossovers are known to provide. The 2014 4Runner is available in three model variants.
The Toyota 4Runner 2014 will also be available with the option of a rear wheel 4×2, part-time 4×4 and a full-time multi-mode 4×4. All the models of the Toyota 4Runner 2014 are powered by a potent 4.0-litre V6 engine that is mated with a five-speed ECT-i automatic transmission, that delivers 270hp. Toyota makes use of the dual independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i), that optimizes the torque across the engine operating range. The fuel efficiency of the SUV is also great, with an estimated 7.23 km/l city and 9.78 km/l highway for the 4×2 models, and 7.23 km/l city and 9.35 km/l highway for the 4×4 trims.
The new 2014 4Runner sports a redesigned front design, with the inclusion of a massive front grille and great smoked headlamps which make the front fascia look rugged and muscular. The SR5 and Trail grades models of the SUV sport a color keyed grille insert and front bumper that are surrounded by fog lamps that are set in sharp inlays which extend from the headlights to the bumper. These two models of the SUV also feature 17-inch alloy wheels along with newly design wheels. As for the limited edition top model, the SUV sports 20 inch alloy wheels that are now painted in black to add a touch of contrast in the design.
The new Toyota 2014 4Runner will be available in four new exterior paints namely, Attitude Black Metallic; Super White; Nautical Blue Metallic and Barcelona Red Metallic. This color palate will be added to the previous one including – Classic Silver Metallic; Magnetic Gray Metallic; Blizzard Pearl and Black.
As for the interior, the new 2014 4Runner comes with an upgraded cabin with integrated multi-information display. The other major features include firm’s Entune infotainment and in-glass antenna and an optional 7-inch display navigation system for an extra pay.
