Toyota aims to gain supremacy in Indian segment

Toyota aims to gain a stronger foothold in India with the launch of compact Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) and small models. This is a crucial phase for most car companies to acquire robust market share to combat the low buying power that has been the trend for months since the festive period celebrated during the end of the year. The Japanese firm will have to linger, till there is visibility by the Indian Government on new vehicle regulations with respect to import and fuel. The main reason for the awaiting the Governments approval is to decide on whether to work on hybrid plants or diesel models.

According to Santoshi Ohiso, the Managing Officer in Toyota, ‘’in the near future, we will have to establish diesel plants on Indian soil, the main concern here is the lack of visibility in the fuel regulations adopted by the Indian Government. We will have to observe the direction of the rules and regulations and work on it in full swing.’’

The Prius is the sole hybrid car of Toyota model launched in India, to be able to be in par with the growing car economy and launch of new models by other powerful auto majors, Toyota will have to strategically plan its cars to cater to growing consumer aspirations.

The Prius is an exclusive and refined model of Toyota and is offered with a couple of trims such as Pruis Z4 and Z3. The Z4 is fitted with premium leather upholstery.  The car is equipped with a powerful 1.8 liter petrol engine of 2ZR FXE type with an amazing 1798cc displacement capacity that churns impressive efficiencies of 73 Kw highest power and peak torque of 142Nm.

The new model of Prius is tailored with dominant driving mediums of Eco, electric and power mode. The electric mode can operate on battery at a minimal pace, the Eco mode is for optimum mileages.
The Prius is a refined and professional model which has the ability to lure luxury aspiring buyers. The interesting aspect of this car is the exterior is positioned the lowers around the globe, the interiors deliver the language of lavishness to the hilt. On the front, there are world class equipments such as audio controls on steering wheel, high tech music systems and so on.

The impressive features of the Prius might enable Toyota to manufacture more best-in-class hybrid models. Toyota cars are appreciated for their engine efficient and posh designs. The main concern is the vagueness in the policies adopted by the Indian Government. The Japanese parent firm realizes the potential of Indian car economy and aims to strengthen the overall sale output to a new level.
