Developing countries like China and India owing to significant population figures will consume high quantities of oil to cater to higher demands.
Toyota officials have displayed a presentation stating that the gap between demand and supply can be narrowed down; the company is of the strong view that natural gas is the main source to transport proficient technology to fuel growth in electric and hybrid cars.
The demand for medium and small sized cars is on the rise in India, the company believes that Government policy is a crucial factor which has lead to the development in hybrid industry with 40% of such cars rolled out for the Japanese market.
Officials at the reputed Tokyo Institute of Technology are sure of higher demands for hybrid cars. The technology behind the function of hybrid cars is known to be straight forward, where the car maneuvers on electric motor and conventional fuels. The electric motor extracts electricity from battery that preserves energies required for braking. During the event of brake application, the energy is stocked up in battery which would otherwise dissipate in the form of thermal energy with traditionally built cars.
