There is some thrilling news for ardent racing fans, the Etios motor racing (EMR) series will start in one of the metro cities in India Chennai. The tournament is in association with the reputed FMSCI national racing championship initiated by a popular club in Chennai called Madras motor sports club. For lucky people in Chennai this would be a life remembering opportunity and would be a different experience than a cricket match which is also exciting.
This series is initiated by Toyota, the company has introduced the one make race tournament during the prestigious auto event in Delhi, this was followed with exhilarating motorsports in India with two races in Gurgaon and Chennai. The Etios motor racing tournament (EMR) scheduled for Chennai on the 27th and 27th of July at the popular MMRT track.
This would definitely be a stimulating event that would thrill people of all age groups with 4 EMR competitions that would span through weekend and the lucky winners in each race segment will be presented with trophy and cash reward. Besides the 3 chosen winners, a cash reward and trophy will be conferred to a highly skilled motor racing talent. Following the EMR in Chennai another event will be conducted at Buddh international track in Noida where twenty five EMR participants will compete for the top spot. This event in Noida will start during September which would be the 5th round of National racing championship.
A top company official of Toyota announced that the year 2012 was filled with excitement from its debut event at Delhi expo to exhibition events in Gurgaon and Chennai, and this event will be held overseas as well at Colombo night race scheduled for December.
EMR is an excellent platform for those who have a deep passion for motorcycle racing and want to make a career out of it. There were auditions for the event where young aspiring drivers have to undergo rigorous training and selection processes in many cities. A portion of training was conducted in dealerships in India for customers to study the details of Toyota models, and even experience the drive experience and be well equipped with the handling mechanisms of Toyota cars. The selection process was tough where twenty five EMR racers were selected to participate in this tournament, the top three drivers will be presented with an excellent opportunity to go international and participate in Vios tournament schedule for Thailand in 2013.
The aim of Toyota to introduce Etios motor racing event is an excellent move to enable motor racing enthusiasts to experience a fun and exciting opportunity to pursue their passion or hobby. This could be the starting point for those who are keen on a career in motor racing and gain significant experience to emerge into successful racers. Motor racing sports should be encouraged in India, since this is a sport which requires enormous skill and talent, and would offer more opportunities to those who are proficient in sports.
