Toyota is the world’s highest selling brand and now the company boasts of being the highest number of patent receiver from the US government. According to the reports of a survey, the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued the highest number of patents to Toyota’s innovative designers and engineers in the year 2012 than any other car maker in the county.
Toyota has received over 1,491 patents which only reinforce the Japanese auto maker’s commitments and achievements in offering environment-friendly cars as well as its advancements in the fields of safety measures and technology.
According to the vice president of the electrical systems engineering at Toyota Technical Center (TTC), which is a wing of Toyota Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc. (TEMA), said Kristin Tabar, ever since the inception of Toyota, innovation has been the centre of focus for the company’s success. He added that Toyota listens to its customers’ feedback and requirements and develop new paths to enhance their overall experience.
Toyota Motor reportedly received 30 percent more patents in the year 2012 as compared against the preceding year that shows the Japanese car maker’s inclining success in resourcefulness and having a strong customer centric approach.
Toyota has been the pioneer of bringing futuristic technology for today’s modern cars. Be it the advanced hybrid cars, or the “smart materials” that make cars insect splatter resistant or advanced in-car communication systems, Toyota is clearly the leader which shows the road ahead in terms of future commutation system.
Toyota’s Technical Center that is based in Ann Arbor and Saline in Michigan, recently celebrated the annual patent awards ceremony to honor the company’s 2012 patent recipients. Two team members have each received their 20th patent in the year 2012. These are, Minjuan Zhang, the manager of Toyota Research Institute NA and Charan Lota, the manager of electronic systems at Toyota Technical Center.
Ms. Zhang beamed that Toyota is a great place for an inventor can belong, as everyone working in this company is extremely passionate about enhancing the customer’s experience and this is reflected in the products.
While Mr. Lota said that by the new ideas that a company generates, one can say a lot about it. The huge number of patents received by Toyota only shows that the company is constantly endeavoring to try and make even better cars.
