The world’s car makers must be petrified of the media, as every now and then some new car or the other is getting leaked prior to their official launch, no matter how much the company tries to safeguard the details of the upcoming cars. While the car makers are very particular in keeping their new cars under the veils till launch to preserve the suspense and excitement, the prying cameras and auto spies would not let them all to be a surprise to the world’s auto audience. Just a while ago it was the next-gen Honda Jazz that was revealed to the public before the auto major intended to, and now it is the new Toyota Innova.
The world’s largest car maker, Toyota could not keep its new refreshed Innova under the veils before the cars reached the showrooms today, (19th August, 2013). The Toyota Innova is known as the Toyota Kijang in the auto market of Indonesia and before the car could make its official debut, the car’s brochures were leaked out to the public to take a look at the car prior to its launch. Thus, the new facelifted Toyota Innova’s leaked obscure brochure scans revealed to the public the basic visual changes of the car before Toyota could do it itself.
The Toyota Innova is a very capable and impressive vehicle that has been winning the hearts of the consumers all over the world including the Indian car market. However, as this excellent vehicle has reached its midlife and has been getting competition from several new global rivals, Toyota though that giving it a facelift is more than necessary. And hence, the emergence of the new Toyota Innova which was much awaited.
As far as the exterior design of the new Toyota Innova is concerned, it looks a bit different than its former model, as it features a new front fascia which includes bigger chrome font grill and a new bumper. The car’s redesigned fog lamps are also placed in a different way with stylish chrome linings. At the rear end of the car, it features redesigned tail lamps with enhanced lens clarity, the rear bumper has also got more sporty and curvy, while the tail gate gets decked up with some trendy chrome linings.
On the inside, the new refreshed Toyota Kijang/Innova gets an improved touchscreen infotainment system and entirely new and sophisticated fabric seats. While these changes are good to get and an enhanced experience from the Toyota Innova, much remains unchanged under its hood. Thus, the new Innova gets a refresh that are chiefly cosmetic in nature.
There are presently 6 model trims of the Toyota Innova. The base variant of the car will not have these new features and have 2 airbags. All the mentioned facelift features will make its way in the Innova’s top variant.
The other features that have been endowed by Toyota on the new Innova are body colored mirrors and ample amounts of chrome decors both at the front and the rear of the car.
