Toyota Corporation is planning for its September launch in Indonesia by this fiscal year. Its recent launch Toyota Agya is a small car that has been tailor designed by Toyota Astra Motor and this car has complied with the low-cost green car initiative by the nation. Good news for Toyota enthusiasts is that the launch is ready for its Great day. This launch is expected to yield high end results as the vehicle features and highly fuel efficient one litre petrol engine, and would be one of the first fine LCGC models to get on sale in Indonesia. Toyota Agya has already been debated on the IIMS 2012 and has been applauded for its petrol efficiency and 65 Bhp power.
The car features both automatic and manual gearboxes and offers the best fuel efficiency of 20kpl. This is perhaps is the reason, the car has been approved by the low cost green gas car initiative by the nation and has been made eligible for tax concession under LCGC as well.
It has been anticipated that the Agya would go on sale by September, perhaps when the IIMS happens again in the year 2013. The company is awaiting information from the government of Indonesia to delineate the technical guidelines of the nation’s LCGC program.
Launch of Toyota Agya:
It has been learned that during the launch of Toyota Agya, the launch would be accompanied by the twin production of the company, Daihatsu Ayla. This news has been released officially by Johnny Darmawan, the president and the director of Toyota Astra motor group has announced that this small car would get launched within a month soon after receiving its technical guidelines from the Indonesian government.
But no great changes could be anticipated, after the release of government’s LCGC guidelines as the vehicle has already been built to comply with these standards. It is worth noting here that Toyota’s competitors, Honda, Suzuki and Mitsubishi who are in the mission of preparing Brio Satya, Wagon R and Mirage respectively are getting ready for this LCGC challenge.
Technical differentiation between the Ayla and Agya:
Two jointly developed cars from Toyota and Daihatsu, waiting to hit the Indonesian market this September, has been jointly developed by Daihatsu has been recently launched at the International motor show in Indonesia.
The car is a five door hatchback, and measures over 3.5 meters in length and has been motivated along with its 1 litre motor and 87 Nm of torque and 65 hp. Though both cars have been built by Daihatsu, the Toyota variant has a different front bumper and grille design. The Ayla version would feature a subtle aero pack including sportier bumper and side skirts.
Performance of both the cars would be identical as both are powered by a 1 litre engine and alloy wheels. Both the cars have been designed specifically for the needs of the Local Indonesian market and we would also hope that this gets served undoubtedly. Demand for these cars is also on a rise in the market, for a large and crowded land like Indonesia.
