Like the Japanese auto leader Toyota, the all new 2014 Toyota Corolla also seems to be extremely fond of attention. The gorgeous latest generation Corolla has already revealed its head turning looks all over the world and let the auto enthusiasts know about its great evolved exteriors with élan.
This upcoming stunning new sedan has all set for its global launch and is expected to land up in India by the middle of next year. Thus, Toyota seems to extensively test the 2014 Corolla on the Indian roads prior to its Indian launch in 2014. The sedan is thus being caught testing several times on the Indian tarmacs without shying away the spying cameras following it.
Most recently, the 2014 Toyota Corolla sedan has been caught road testing by the spy shutterbugs again, and this time the car has been caught on the busy roads of Indira Nagar in the city of Bangalore.
Although the latest gen Corolla has been caught by the spy cameras several times in India, the sedan was never spotted without its abundant camouflages covering the entire exterior. As usual, this time around also the upcoming Corolla model was covered well from all the angles by its maker. However, despite the heavy camouflages, the apparent overall design and structure of the 2014 could be very well discerned by the spying auto enthusiasts. The general shape and the resplendent front fascia of the sedan were very much recognizable even from under its thick black veils.
Toyota had revealed the European specification of the 2014 Corolla soon after the American counterpart’s world premier this year. The 2014 Corolla for the US market has already entered production in the Japanese car maker’s manufacturing facility in Mississippi, USA. According to the reports the car is also reaching the various dealership outlets in the US. On the other hand, the European counterpart of the all new 2014 Corolla units are being produced in the company’s Sakarya factory in Turkey, while the units are soon to reach the dealerships.
Back in India, Toyota’s Indian presence in the form of Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) is expected to launch the all new 2014 Corolla quite some time after the other international markets. The sedan is supposed to hit the Indian market within the first half of the year 2014. The Indian specification 2014 Corolla is expected to drop some of its features as compared to its international counterparts in order to keep the price more reasonable. It is already known that instead of the 17 inch alloys, the Indian new Corolla will get 15 inch alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the all new Toyota Corolla will be driven by the same 1.8 liter VVT-i petrol mill and a 1.4 liter D-4D diesel motor with some expected tweaks for enhanced fuel efficiency car. The diesel variant will be offered with an exclusive 6 speed manual gearbox, while the petrol avatar of the 2014 Corolla will have the options of a 6 speed manual as well as a 7 step CVT automatic transmission gearbox.
