There is a 1364cc diesel mill which runs of the advanced Variable Nozzle Turbo and Inter cooler technology. This engine releases amazing 205Nm and 87.2 bhp engine outputs. The Octavia is equipped with a potent power train adopted by the state-of-the-art Modular Transversal Toolkit engine base which is used by Volkswagen as well. This supreme engine is known for its exemplary mileage figures even under low carbon-dioxide emission levels. Octavia will be offered in diesel and petrol versions in the form of 3 engine choices such as 2, 1.8 and 1.4 liter. The diesel fueled car will be inserted with TDI Turbo diesel power train technology.
The Corolla Altis is packed with world class safety features with power door lock system, power windows, air bags, EBD and ABS. The Octavia will also emerge with a grand package in terms of safety with projector head lamps fitted with automatic beam leveler, electronically adjustable seats, sunroof, rear parking sensors, rain sensing wipers, 6 airbags, electronic brake force distribution and anti lock brake system.
The Altis is priced at Rs 14.36 lakhs, and the upcoming Skoda Octavia will cost Rs 15 to 18 lakhs.
