Toyota has recalled around 369,000 cars globally

Toyota is a profit player in the luxury car segment; the company is now exploring greater depths of hybrid technology. Besides it’s over powering determination to emerge with innovative products, the company is ensuring that consumers own fully functional cars and will recall 200,000 products on a global scale and additional 169,000 models with engine defaults.

A representative of Toyota Motor Corporation announced that there were no incidences of accidents, and this is not the primary criteria for recall. The first model to be recalled is Lexus RX400 over inverter default, the other models recalled were highlanders in overseas segments, Kluger and Harrier in Japanese markets. The recall figures in Japan and US are 15,000 and 141,000. The main reason for recall of vehicles is defects may signal alarms to switch off and hybrid cars will become non operational as stated by the company.

There was a second round of recalls which included the Mark X model, Crown, Lexus GS350 and IS350 along with 106,000 models in North American segments and around 59,000 models in Japanese markets. The company also stated that the bolt might loosen which would later result in vehicle coming to a complete halt.

This is an excellent initiative of Toyota to recall massive figures of 369,000 models; Toyota has built its cars to offer enhanced luxury and comfort, one of the models recalled Lexus sports a professional and sophisticated stance, this car has hit admirable sale records globally, but is not a common brand in India. For some good news, the Lexus might hit Indian shores, there has been news a couple of months ago that Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) might postpone the unveiling of the Lexus model, the main reason is the unfavorable market environment and increased duty costs.

According to Sandeep Singh, the COO and deputy MD in the commercial and market division of TKM said, ‘’the Lexus mission is postponed mainly because of adverse market scenario and alarming import duty values. ‘’

Besides Lexus, the Highlander and Crown are built with spectacular luxury elements; Toyota has taken car technology to a whole new level in terms of design, interior comfort and technology. The company has introduced some amazing hybrid cars such as Prius and Camry in Indian markets, and in the near future one might even witness a range of hybrid cars on the road on par with conventional fuel cars. Toyota is in fact multi-tasking by exploring the hybrid segment, building facelifts in India and also engaging in potential recalls. This is one factor which makes Toyota a revolutionary figure in car industry.

There have been no cases of recalls in India, and there are some exciting new launches in the form of facelifts with the Land Cruiser Prado, Innova and so on. With the numerous recalls the trust factor with the company will increase, and consumers can enjoy the experience of owning Toyota cars to greater levels. Those who are keen on the facelift Innova and Prado these are noteworthy purchases to enjoy a comfortable and lavish drive experience.
